Primer Face Makeup Base New Zinc Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30, Lasting Matte Primer For Oily Skin And Tinted Sunscreen

I love this primer so much, especially that it is a mineral sunscreen! It blurs my complexion just enough to provide a little coverage but doesn't look like I have makeup on so it's usually all I wear, it doesn't irritate my skin and seems to actually improve it, it keeps away most of the shine, and it is definitely sweat proof and stays on through my most intense aerobics class.

I have a hard time finding products that actually help with face sweat, especially during Florida heat and workouts. This one honestly made a noticeable difference for me. The texture is very unique. Almost like a light mousse. It feels airy and smooth instead of heavy or greasy. It spreads easily and blends in fast. It gives a fair amount of coverage too. Not full makeup coverage, but enough to even out skin and make it look better overall. My skin looked smoother and less shiny after applying it. The real test was during an outdoor workout. The photos included were taken after being outside for an hour exercising. I was still sweaty, but compared to not using the Carpe primer, it was definitely an improvement. My forehead stayed more controlled and makeup held up better than usual. I also liked that it did not feel thick on my skin. Bonus points because it came packaged in a really pretty box and felt more high-end than expected.

I've not tried a "tinted primer" before, much less one that claims to reduce sweating. The tint seems to disappear, but after I took a video showing the product on half my face, you can actually tell a difference. (I hate how I look without lashes, so excuse the face, but I feel this video would help others) I have rosacea, so I didn't expect it to work miracles, but I did notice that my completion looked more evened out than without it. For days when I don't feel like foundation is worth it since I'd sweat it off 😂 haven't tried it under makeup yet. If I do, I will probably update my review. Overall very interesting product. And seems to work on keeping my face less oily during work if I put a mattifying powder over it. I'm just wondering if I'd buy it again because of the price honestly

I was excited to try this after I saw it on social media. It didn't work AT ALL for me. It is almost colorless on skin, and only barely hid any redness. It does NOT feel greasy and is easy to apply. However. It's not matte AT ALL...at least on me. I waited for it to dry and it was still shiny. I used my fan just to see if that would help. Still shiny. Applied regular makeup on to see if my non matte makeup would look more matte. Absolutely no. Still glossy shiny. Mind you, everything felt dry, but looked shiny anyways. Can't recommend and will return.

If you have oily skin throughout the day…. THIS will be your saving grace. I wear it everyday, with or without foundation or concealer. It actually keeps my face from getting shiny and oily throughout the day, no blotting or feeling greasy by the end of the work day. 10/10 recommend

I love most of the Carpe brand and was excited to try this product, however it did not work as well as I had hoped for a few reasons. When I used as much primer as I usually do with my foundation it felt greasy and that I had too much on and my makeup just did not set at all. When I used a much smaller amount I felt like it was still greasy and I know I was not benefitting from enough of the SPF etc because of the small amount I was using. The texture was like a light mousse but it just did not feel like it absorbed into my skin the way a primer usually does. Finally it caused me to have some break outs, I have super sensitive skin but I am in my 40's so I am not a fan of getting a handful of pimples all of a sudden. I do use it sometimes just on my forehead and around where my glasses sit to prevent some excess sweating and I still get a few pimples but I think it helps a bit. I may try a different foundation at some point, but I like my current foundation well and my other primers work fine with it. Overall as it is today I won't purchase again, although I really wanted to love this product.

I wish it weren't so expensive. But it WORKS. I'm currently in perimenopause, and the sweating is ridiculous. I use this, topped with some loose powder. Stays put all day and I'm no longer dripping sweat in front of clients at work. And because it's lightly tinted, it evens out my skintone without looking like caked-on makeup. My skin looks natural and it's sweat free! I've been using this product for a few years now, and I hope they never stop making it.

So I had been on the fence about this product. I bobbed and weave for a long time, but I finally broke down and bought it. I used it for a couple weeks and found that it made my face feel kind of slimy. Also, if it's a sunscreen, it needs to be reapplied. I'm hardly going to be reapplying this in the middle of my day. Day. I'm a teacher, so sometimes I'm really hot or I'm outside in the sun. This seems like a great product, but it really didn't work for a long day.
