We had difficulty trying to persuade a goth 12 yrs old to wear a helmet on her bike, she wore this one for the 5 days we were camping, only removing it to sleep. Also no quibble about wearing it since when cycling,.

This super light (only 202g) helmet arrives in its own drawstring bag to store it in with a small instruction manual included. The size fits well and it is very comfortable.The interior padding lined with EPS foam feels very strong and durable.The helmet is of course adjustable by turning a small wheel at the back for a perfect fit. I really like the shape of this helmet which clears the ears. The adjustable strap feels strong and has a soft padded Velcro strip to protect the chin.The external ABS shell looks really thick and robust and with its 27 vents it provides sufficient airflow not to sweat too much in it. The absorbent pads inside are removable for washing which is a good feature.It is much lighter than any other cycle helmets that I have ever had and feels as secure. I really like the feel of this when worn…In terms of certification, the web site states that it meets CE and TUV certifications which I hope myself or anyone else never has to test.I think that it is a great cycle helmet and for £17.59 (after 20% voucher applied at the time of writing this review), it is very reasonably priced.

At the time reviewing this bike helmet it was priced at £21.99 when the majority of helmets we’re selling between £20-£30 plus so it is priced with the entry level helmets. It comes with a draw string bag that is vey good for storage. My normal helmet is being used for comparison. This helmet weighs 233grams, whilst my current cycling helmet weighed 333grams, so it is certainly light. It is rounder than my helmet and feels more comfortable. The straps keep the helmet secure and the clips identical to my other helmets. It doesn’t have a Sun peak but frankly they are as good as useless, and most people would wear cycling glasses to protect your eyes from the sun and flys. The hat adjustment is easy to adjust having just one knob to twist to loosen or tighten. Overall, this is an excellent entry helmet that doesn’t compromise on the safety aspects. It feels thick and robust and would provide good protection. Many youngsters refuse to wear helmets because of their bulk. This is the answer. A good entry level helmet for casual cycling well recommended. There is no longer an excuse for not wearing a cycling helmet, this one is light, cheap and comfortable and provides adequate protection.

It is comfortable, but I am very concerned that it has zero reflectability. I have now bought some reflective tape to make it reflective, but obviously, it is not going to be as good as a reflective helmet at night.

It is light and quite well ventilated; plus, it also looks modern whilst being protective.It’s just not that comfortable after some issues discovered with the design and materials, despite following the instructions to the letter.The inner lining that you can remove to clean from time-to-time (because it does get hot quite quickly, despite the obvious ventilation) pulls away from the helmet frame by pulling apart the small pieces of Velcro® that are there to keep it in-place for ‘most’ of the time.Unfortunately, upon trying-to remove this inner-lining, some of the small pieces of Velcro® attached-to the helmet frame decided to come-off alongside the ‘other’ side of the ‘hook-and-loop’ fixing. I.e.; They were both stuck together, and I would have-to glue the original part back in its original place to re-attach the inner-lining.But I’m pretty sure that you shouldn’t add ‘glue’ to helmets, in the same way that you were always told never to add stickers to the outside of motorbike helmets. There’s even a yellow EN-1078 label, which also states that certain solvents should not be used on this product; so, I don’t really know what to do about this issue. Either way, it’s a problem that I shouldn’t have-to solve; and the inner-lining is now just hanging-down from the helmet whenever I take it off. It is not comfortable or practical, as it currently stands.Also, despite me ordering the right size, tightening the size adjustable wheel at the rear of the helmet seems-to make this whole mechanism rise-up inside the helmet itself, and then you don’t have any grip on the wheel to undo it, again.I then have-to take the helmet off and roughly adjust it to where I think that it should go, remembering to ‘hold-down’ the adjustable wheel as I place it on my head, again; so that it doesn’t try and ride-up inside the helmet, again. I can then clip-in and adjust the ‘linked’ chin-strap after that’s done to get a snug-fit.The draw-string bag will help protect the helmet with regards-to dirt and scratches whilst it’s not-in-use, but it has no other real protective qualities to it other-than that; but then I suppose, it doesn’t really need any, either.Sometimes it’s the person that’s the issue, and not the product; and this could possibly be one of those times. One ‘correct’ size does not always ‘fit’ all.(P.S. I’ve replaced this helmet with a Raleigh helmet that fits well, and was only just over ten-pounds; plus, I’ve donated this head-gear to someone who says that they can fit a replacement lining to resolve one of the aforementioned issues.)

This well-made helmet surprises me; it’s much more comfortable than I could have imagined at this price point.
