OTTERBOX Defender Series Case for LG G6 - Retail Packaging - Moon River (Bahama Blue/Tempest Blue)

It does well protecting my phone though it is a little bit bulky.

So let me start with I have had at least 6 other cases before this one, and I'm talking from Jan of this year. I am very hard on phone holders if there is a stupid or clumsy way to break one I have done it. I have had this one the longest so far. I have had this one almost 5 months which is a record for me. I did slightly modify it, nothing major I did pop out the plastic screen cover and use a good glass screen protector. As I mentioned I'm clumsy. I did a lot of research and most who have any case with the plastic screen cover replace it with a glass one. It was easy and have no problems with the case going on. Now I will tell you I have dropped this case so many times in and out of the holster and not even a scratch. The case is sturdy and easy to put on, the holster is very durable, I could tell just by the feel out of the box. The clip on the back of the holster does rotate so you can adjust it to fit right depending on what your wearing, also because of the design of the clip on the holster it doesn't come off of jean pockets. Now the only down side is the lack of color and design, I like my cases to stand out, you can get it in some colors. I chose purple, I will say it's a good shade and is actually purple. I would tell anyone who goes through phone cases and holsters, this is the best one I have had.

Husband uses these cases to protect his phone at work in industrial setting. They hold up well. In past he always had the solid black case which makes it hard to find sometimes. This case has just a bit of light blue color on it do it shows up better in dark places .

There are 2 issues I ran into using this (knocked one issue off because I got Android Pay is working at other places with the case on, so I gave an additional star):1. The screen protector is not flush with the screen (as a few reviews already mentioned). This caused touch gestures to be less sensitive than they should be.2. I'm not really sure about this, but is this case suppose to be waterproof? I mean, the phone is IP68 certified waterproof, but I question the waterproofing of the case, because when I opened up the case later after several days of use, there were markings from the case on the back of the phone. Maybe that was caused by water seeping in? In any event, it's a waterproof phone, so I had expected the case to be waterproof.These issues may not be dealbreakers, but they were worth noting. The phone definitely survived some drops because of this case, so that's a plus.

Otterbox is always at the top of the cell phone protection game. Some people don't like the bulk of the defender series but for heavy duty drops and danger to our precious, super expensive, pocket computers you can't do wrong with an otterbox. Always perfect, great build quality, and good engineering make this case the only case for almost any situation. Just rip the plastic screen "protector" off and use a glass one instead; grit and dirt always gets sandwiched in between the plastic and the screen which increases the chance for scratches. Also plastic screen protectors are static-y which attracts fuzz and dust. Not always pocket friendly for larger phones. Great fit for LG G6.

Needed new cover, old one was starting to break apart. This seems to be pretty rugged. Having its own screen saver built in is a nice touch. I worked even with my original screen saver still on phone. I opted to remove old one since the Otter Box had it included.

I really like the overall design of the case, It's easy to install and use, and it does a great job against impact and even water which I learned when I knocked my phone into a sink of water. (Luckily, the protective port flaps were in place and no water got inside the case, especially with the screen protector being an integral part of the overall casing.)The screen protector is a bit difficult for me to type through (I'm not very agile anymore) but I just take a bit more time to press the keys and it's fine.

I have always purchased the defender cases from otterbox, expecting high quality. This case was not a let down at all. It offers great protection for the screen with the lip over the front and built in plastic screen protector (which I removed to install a glass one that fits just fine under the lip). The body of the phone is well protected, and I could throw my phone across the room and not worry about it a bit. I've tried that out actually, so you don't have to. I use a magnetic phone mount also, so I placed an adhesive metal plate under the soft part of the back, adhered to the plastic skeleton. The soft outside is thin enough for my magnetic mount to hold firmly, but plenty thick to protect the phone. I couldnt be happier with this case.
