CleanSlate XL Deep Cleaning Carpet + Upholstery Spot Cleaner Machine with Specialized Tools, Permanent Stain Remover, Pair with Hoover Portable Spot Cleaner Solution

I absolutely love this cleaner! When my rescue dog is on steroids for inflammation, she sometimes wets in her sleep due to a botched spaying. Of course it happened on an antique sofa with fixed cushions. So I tried this cleaner, and am so glad I did! It was extremely easy to set up, and while heavy when filled, it wasn't terrible. I sprayed the stained upholstery with Resolve Urine Destroyer before cleaning. I had a bit of a learning curve with the suction. Instinct is to hold the head flat, but all the suction comes through slits at the front of the attachment (photo attached), so the head needs to be at a 90 degree angle to the wet surface. A little pressure on the head helped get the most water out of the upholstery. Happily, the couch now has zero odor!!!! I also tried it on an area rug, and it worked beautifully. The rug was almost dry when I finished. Cleaning the unit was so easy. The plastic cover comes off of the attachment, so I was able to get rid of the dirt and dog hair in the crevices. The hose cleaning function was great for draining the solution tank, followed by a rinse with plain warm water. I had some leaking, but found I just wasn't pushing the hose far enough into the machine. I washed the pieces with antibacterial dish soap because urine was involved. Left the hose dangling down to dry with the head in a bucket, as wrapping it would trap moisture inside. Air dried the parts and then put the in the provided storage bag, which has a nifty hanger top and a mesh panel for airflow.

I decided to purchase this after our senior dog began having accidents in the house. (Of course always on carpeted areas). He's a large breed dog, so we would go through a half roll of paper towels cleaning up after him. This works great at pulling the moisture out of the carpet both before cleaning and after spraying the cleaning solution on, the carpet dries in a few hours. Its not too loud, comparable to a vacuum cleaner. I also love that it has the hose clean out option, it makes cleaning the machine after use much easier. The only thing I find difficult is removing the extraction tool from the hose, but I'm glad it has such a tight fit so you get the best suction.

Great suction that is stronger than any we have used before. Good brush design that is notably more durable than the older design with different head options and the heads are designed to open up for easy cleaning. Cleans up spots notably faster than older machine and gets carpet drier due to the improved suction.

I recently upgraded to the Hoover CleanSlate XL, and I have to say—this is a major step up from my older model. Don’t get me wrong, my previous one worked great and got the job done, but this one takes it to a whole different level. The bigger tanks are a huge plus. I don’t have to constantly stop and refill or empty it, which makes cleaning so much faster and less frustrating. What really impressed me, though, is how much deeper this machine cleans. You can actually see the difference—it pulls up dirt you didn’t even realize was there. Another big improvement is how much drier my furniture is after using it. With my older model, things would stay damp for a while, but this one leaves everything noticeably drier, which is a game changer. Overall, if you’re considering upgrading or buying your first spot cleaner, this one is absolutely worth it. It’s more efficient, more powerful, and just makes the whole process easier.

This carpet cleaner was perfect for my new puppy. Any accidents she had in the house, I was able to suck up/clean completely and thoroughly using several different carpet cleaning solutions. This unit performs well across rugs and low/medium pile carpet. The included rubber pet mess tool is very easy to clean and does a great job. It also has a self cleaning function that is nice.

I bought this machine primarily for automotive cleaning. The wide attachment with brush and the narrow attachment with brush that came with it are absolutely perfect for the task (although I had removed the carpet from my SUV to clean it). The water jet sprays nicely, and the suction is powerful. I did subsequently purchase the automotive attachment set, which has a suction tool better sized for cleaning the seats. The only negative to me is the clean water tank and dirty water tank are not the same capacity - the dirty water tank fills up before the clean, necessitating extra stops to deal with the mismatch, which is annoying. Otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

Hoover Cleanslate XLgave my Couch a Cleanslate! The machine is easy to use. It has great suction and cleaning power. The cord is quite long allowing you to cover a large area. The cleaning solution is just o.k. Purchase a stronger one for upholstery on amazon. The cost greatly outweighs renting a cleaner.

This was great - until it broke. I have used it maybe 5 or 6 times. The hose broke away from the cleaning head, and the button you push on the cleaning head to spray the water/solution, which is supposed to stop when you release it, sticks and the water/solution won’t quick spraying unless you push it up very hard, which makes a mess. Such a disappointment. I loved it while it worked. Waste of $.

This carpet cleaner is awesome! Not only it is powerful in scrubbing and rid of dirt it also leave minimal moisture unlike others that leaks. With any carpet cleaner my best advise is to do the carpet half at a timed word of advise place a large plastic under the carpet before you start (XL Garbage bag is good) just in case of any water that trickle through. When done do the other half and let if air dry (best to do it in the Spring/ Summer time leave Windows open to circulate air ) the same day or next day your carpet will be dry and super clean. I am happy with this item. I also used it to clean car carpet as well it is a saviour. Also it includes a start bottle of the carpet cleaner. Make sure to clean and air dry after use. Thats it!

The item I recieved had poor suction, and it seemed to be previously used. It was returned. Not as described.

This little unit works very well. Great suction and very easy to use! Nice and compact and worked wonders on some old stains (combined with the Hoover pre-treatment spray) THE ONLY ISSUE we had was the spray pump took a while for the water to come out. It’s a common issue for new units (to get the air out of the line you have to hold down the spray button for a minute with the hose lower than the unit) but once it started spraying, it worked perfectly! Excited to try it on the couches!
