But I did have to return it due to the weight ratio to body type. Weight spot on for my childs weight range but did not tighten up to my childs skinny body. Review: Not appropriate for multi-pitch rock climbing or mountaineering - It deserves Zero Stars - The rope attachment point has a sewn red protector to prevent/reduce (?) wear to this important fixing tie-in point. When the user is suspended by the rope (either abseiling, during/after a fall or when holding a fall) the red protctor does not necessarily cover the suspension point. This could lead, in a short time, to excessive and dangerous wear. As the harness straps that go over the shoulders are attached to the tie-in point via the shoulders and the leg straps, when belaying through the tie=in point, any tension is taken via the leg loops . This tension will only be, in part, taken through the shoulder straps if they are tightened up so much that they restrict free movement when climbing. The harness requires a strap around the torso (slightly higher than the waist) so that the tension when abseiling or belaying can be distributed across the back. This harness has not been adequately tested in use. I highly recommend that this harness is not used for rock climbing or mountaineering. The designer appears not to comprehend its use for these activities. ## Features - QUALITY: full body harness typ A * unpadded * norm EN 12277; UIAA 105 - UNISIZE: hip size 64 to 105 cm * leg circumference 45 to 77 cm* shoulder belts 5 to ca. 40 cm - MATERIAL: the straps are made of polyester, the material loops are nylon and the fasteners are carbon steel C1045, black anodized - CLOSURE: 5 double-slide buckle width 45 mm * 2 gear loops - APPLICATIONS: mountain climbing, indoor, alpine tours, allround, rescue, rope park and sport climbing ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01DXU990A | | Age Range Description | Teenagers and adults | | Best Sellers Rank | 612,869 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) 281 in Climbing Harnesses | | Brand Name | ALPIDEX | | Care instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Collection Name | All | | Colour | Black | | Country of Origin | Taiwan | | Country of origin | Taiwan | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 39 Reviews | | Fabric Type | Nylon,Polyester | | Fit Type | adjustable | | Item Highlight | Waist Belt, Leg Loops, Belay Loop, Gear Loops, Padded, Mountaineering, Indoor, Outdoor, Safety, Rope | | Manufacturer | ALPIDEX | | Material | Alloy Steel, Polyester | | Number of Items | 1 | | Occasion | Climbing | | Part Number | 13701 | | Product Care Instructions | Hand Wash Only | | Size | One Size | | Style | Full Body Harness | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Images ![ALPIDEX Climbing Harness Teenagers Adults EN 12277 Full Body Adjustable - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/712zh0bSp3L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A very good company to buy from *by A***S on 21 June 2016* A very good company to buy from.
