the entire calendar is 17" long by 11.5 " wide. I agree the description is off. It's a very nice calendar.

Q: 2021 calendar with a pocket?

No pocket, but I have found it to stay flat.

Q: Are dates printed dark and large so you can read from across room?

Numbers for dates are printed in black and are .25 inch high. I can read them from across the room.
