Does your chair leave divots in this mat?

Yes, if you sit in one place for a while. It doesn’t seem to inhibit movement. I usually move my chair back at the end of the day & the divots are gone by morning. Mine sits on Berber carpet, which doesn’t have a thick pile.

Are these temperature resistant? I want to put under mini refrigerator on carpet and one on hardwood in case they leak water. Would it be safe?

does this mat have some kind of (sticky) undercoating? I had one before and the glue-like material harmed the floor

No sticky stuff on back of office mat. All the little pointed things on back of mat help to keep mat on the carpet and I'm glad I bought it. It's a little bumpy still when office chair rolls around on it, but doesn't bother me at all.

Works but clearly not the same as product photos

Be careful when unrolling this, it's very stiff and will try its best to roll back up again and trap your arm in its spiky grip! So, it works, but it definitely isn't the same as the pictures. In the product photos, it shows those hard plastic mats, while this one (as you can guess from coming rolled up) is soft and the chair wheels sink into it.

Does the job

It took quite some time to properly unfold. Even after unfolding the edges still keep turning a bit so make sure you put solid weights all around the first 2-3 days to let it unfold completely. After that it makes it easy for chair to move around.
