ORIGINAL OVAL-8 FINGER SPLINT: Made in the USA and designed with 3-points of pressure and an open air design the Oval-8 is the preferred finger splint for Occupational and Hand Therapists. Extremely light and comfortable, the Original Oval-8 Finger Splints support and protect your fingers to help heal injuries and problems caused by Arthritis and other conditions. It effectively treats over 6 finger conditions including Arthritis, Trigger Finger or Trigger Thumb, Mallet Finger, Swan Neck, Hypermobility (EDS) and Crooked or Broken Fingers. Single size packages are perfect for those who know their size or want the convenience of having more than one splint. A Sizing Set and Graduated Sets of 3 sizes are sold separately for those trying Oval-8 Finger Splints for the first time. SIZING: Choosing the correct Oval-8 size can be affected by swelling, temperature or by how precisely the measurement is made. To choose a size likely to fit your finger, wrap a tailor’s measuring tape around the finger joint you are treating. Pull lightly so the tape conforms smoothly around your finger. Use the sizing chart to find the size(s) closest to your measurement. The difference between sizes is very small and you may need more than one size for an accurate fit. The difference in circumference from one size to the next is only 1/16” to 1/8” and can be affected by minor swelling or by how the splint is worn. The sizing method described is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate for all fingers. Oval-8 Finger Splints may need to be adjusted by a healthcare provider trained in fitting splints for the most successful treatment.NOTE: Oval-8 Finger Splints are not recommended for children under the age of 4 as they may cause choking if swallowed. As my finger has been swelling I’ve ordered a size up. I ordered a 5-pack of the best size for my sausage fingers, size 11 to have one in my purse, night stand, side stand and in case the cats get ahold of them. The brace isn’t tight but doesn’t fall off. It’s a life saver and I’m not allergic to them I am with the foamy type ones. Over time my finger/hand broke out in an ease from using those. I highly recommend these Oval-8 Finger Splints. Told my neighbor about them since has trigger finger also and she loves her splint also!

**Q: how many come with this product? can it be taped aswell to keep further in place?**
A: I am not sure about your question: how many come with this product.  They sold each individually if that's what U ask. U don't have to tape and that's why they required U to provide ring size so they want it to be snug fit.  Also U can turn it either way to benefit your problem.  I hope that I answer your question.

**Q: Will this work on a thumb?**
A: Might work on a thumb. The Oval 8 splints are 1 1/2" long; short thumb might not work. Why not call the manufacturer; they are very helpful.

**Q: I have trigger thumb. Do I put the band right on the joint or above or below it?**
A: That is not an issue. Just put it right on your thumb. It will protect the joint

**Q: What are these made out of?**
A: The Oval-8 Finger Splint is made out of mold injected plastic.

Really a neat invention. I followed the measurement instructions for sizing and the splint fits perfectly. I wear it every night, and have no problems with it coming off or interfering with sleep. No more curled, cramped finger upon waking. I would have given it 5 stars except that it basically works only on the middle joint and allows the last joint toward the end of my finger to bend, which it does. I would buy another one like this if needed for another finger, and also would replace this one if they make one that immobilized both joints.
