Is it enough for 20 litres?** A: Hi Yes this would be plenty to clear 20 litres of wine as you should only need approx. 30g to clear this amount of wine so you will have planty left over for use another time. The instructions for us are to vigourously mix 1 rounded teaspoon (approx. 7g) of bentonite per gallon of wine in 1/2 a cup of the wine and then to allow the mixture to stand for 30 mins. Then stir the mixture again, add it to wine vessel and then either swirl the vessel or stir if with a long spoon, whisk or similar depending on the size and weight of the vessel. If speeding up the process matters then this Bentonite is a useful option. It does not damage the quality and I find it usually enough. It does not polish the wine but I prefer maturing to do that job. It is cost effective and usually works. This particular product is more gritty than expected but it does work and if required it can be ground to a fine powder.
