Or do you turn the straightening on after the blow dry?** A: No. You use one side at a time. I'm pretty sure you could try it if your hair is almost dry, turn on both sides to avoid waiting on the straightener to heat up, blow dry it really quick and straighten it right away when you're done but I'm not sure how healthier that is for the product running both at the same time. Also, the prior one died after a few months of use. This brush has the option of no heat and has 3 speeds: air, low & high. Did a good job fully drying my hair and straightening it using the hard comb-like bristles. I believe it would also provide volume.
