Review: GREAT PLANTERS - I love floating island planters and have been using them for some years and they have never worn thin or show any sign of decay. These octagonal ones are better than my old round ones as they fix together better. Also these foam and material type never seem to tip over, unlike the solid plastic which I find a total waste of time. They also give the fish shade in the summer and a place to hide or sleep in the winter months, and a play area for the frog!! I would recommend them to any pond owner, I love them, they are great little planters. Another tick for these .. you can control the root growth more easily, leaving more space for the fish to play.

Bbought two more to replace the current ones when they need replanting. Therefore have not used them yet, but there appears to be no reason why they should not be as good as the original two.

**Q: How deep are these?**
A: Not sure on depth but they float very well.  I have a 1/2 barrel as a pond and wild birds were 'drowning' because they could not get out so purchased one of these, filled it with washer gravel and it floats very well, the birds now can drink safely.

**Q: What are the separateinternal and external diameters.**
A: External 28 cm internal 17 cm

Very pleased with these. The colour is a bit 'bright' but this will settle in time. Very deep and does say on the packaging will take up to 2kgs in weight, other wise, yes it will sink. Plants are doing very well as out of the reach of the fish, so far
