This pad is so much better than a wedge pillow
My wife has tried a wedge pillow to reduce her snoring (which it helped greatly), but she tends to slide down and her back and neck would bother her over time. When we saw this pad, we wanted to give it a try in lieu of spending big bucks on an expensive adjustable bed. This pad is exactly as described and does not squish flat under our mattress (we have a queen). We let it sit all day after opening it to allow it time to completely fill out prior to placing it on our bed. I don't care for the look of having my mattress permanently elevated, but it's comfortable and does what we hoped it would, for a fraction of the cost of an adjustable bed. I snore at times myself and it helps reduce my snoring as well.

Great item and value!
Have had this wedge for almost a year now and it is still doing the job! It has not crushed under the mattress and provides just the right amount of incline to help with mild reflux/ heartburn. It has also made snoring less of an issue(added bonus)! Exactly what we were looking for. Smaller wedges did not seem comfortable. We don't even realize we are on an incline.

This under mattress wedge is the perfect slope. No more sliding down in the bed ...
What a difference this has made in my restful sleep. No more throwing up in my sleep. I originally started with the wedge pillow but I was forever sliding to the bottom and my back and hips hurt in the morning. This under mattress wedge is the perfect slope. No more sliding down in the bed and my back/hips no longer hurt when I wake up.

This WILL COMPRESS under weight (-_-")
I absolutely felt betrayed when I opened this package. Check out my pictures - this is NOT HIGH-DENSITY polyurethane foam, and I feel like a FOOL for falling for this product's marketing. I've purchased polyurethane foam wedges before for my lower back, sleep apnea, and GERD -- this product doesn't even come close to the density of those foam wedges. SO DISAPPOINTED THAT THIS IS NOT MARKETED AS A FOAM TOPPER!!!

Let wedge completely decompress before putting mattress on top.
I just got this and had used it for the first time. Because of my heavy mattress and limited space to move it around it took three people to adjust the mattress on top of the foam wedge insert. Once the mattress is on top of it I needed to adjust the mattress on top. The wedge made it somewhat difficult to adjust the mattress as it is foam. I recommend that you let the wedge fully decompress for about one to two hours to remove any squished areas when it comes out of the box before you set mattress on it. I think this is going to take some adjustment to sleep with but looking forward to reflux relieve.

Helpful!
Doctor recommended raising head of bed as husband had acid reflux that was harming his lungs. We really like that the riser goes under the mattress (seemed like raising the head of bed itself would stress the frame). It seems to be helping both of us sleep better. Down side is it makes the bed taller (we already had a very tall bed). Also, I tend to slide down a bit during the night. Definitely glad we got the 5" rise instead of the 7"--with a higher rise I'd be curled up in a ball at the food of the bed by morning!
