Solid Minimalist Shoe
Iโve had Vibram 5 finger shoes and they were a Royal pain to put on so I never wore them and then donated the $120 Vibes to a transient. But intermittent foot/arch/heel/hip pain (foot bone connected to the ..ankle bone.. ankle bone connected to the ..leg bone.. leg bone connected to the.. hip boneโฆ) prompted me to revisit why the heck am I hurting being so fit, good diet etc. After research I finally understand that feet have muscles and using shoes w arch support, albeit initially comfortable, do not โexerciseโ those foot muscles and they will continue to atrophy, get lazy and cause pain from stem to stern. I didnโt wanna shell out a ridiculous amount for vibrams, tadeevo, xero etc so I read the reviews on these, looked at buyer pics and decided to give em a shot. Well let me tell you they are a solid, very wide toe box , minimalist shoe that have zero drop and no arch support, which is good if you want to โcureโ your foot pain (google stack block, and northwest foot for videos on what you need to do). And you can put โem on in 5 seconds with the speed laces instead of 5 minutes like vibrams. I have a wide foot and they fit great. I wear a womenโs 9 which is what I ordered and will be exchanging for a 10 simply bc my toes touch the end of the shoe. Unfortunately there are no 1/2 sizes so weโll see if the 10 works. The final selling point before I pulled the trigger and made Bezos a other $30 bucks was that I can wear my โCorrect Toesโ with these which of course I didnโt know for sure when I bought them but after I got em, put the CTโs on, thereโs was plenty of lateral width for my toes to spread out and not be squished. As previously stated, Iโll just exchange for the size 10 because I need a slightly longer shoe. The price is definitely right and I would buy them again and again. Oh and a side note.. when I got these, I walked 2 miles on a dirt trail with CTโs in place and zero foot pain where as before I couldnโt go to the grocery store in my daily โhigh arch supportโ flip flops without suffering within 15 minutes. And just so you know.. no, Iโm not a paid reviewer nor did I receive anything free for this review. 9-17-2021 UPDATE: got the size 10 yesterday and theyโre perfect. Definitely recommend! 1-7-2022 UPDATE: I have worn these pretty much on a daily basis at the gym, not outside, since purchase. Ie-theyโve gotten punished! They have held up beautifully. Not even a hint of tread separation or material tears.se photos. Get yourself a pair! 7-13-2022 UPDATE: In short..one of the most durable shoe of any kind Iโve owned. Iโm still trying to make these things fail but they keep on keeping on. Not even a hit of cracking, the sole peeling awayโฆ nothing! Buy them.. like stop reading this now and go buy them! 8-5-2025 UPDATE itโs crazy but these shoes are STILL intact. The sole is not separating, there are no rips in fabric .. the only thing is the insole thin covering is slightly unglued and you just have to โunrollโ it back to flat when you put em in but hey after 4 years .. thatโs a win!

Most Comfortable Water Shoes--hooray for the Cushioned Heel!
I've been on quite the hunt for some comfortable water shoes, and I've ordered about six different brands and types on Amazon (and tried on double that in various stores). These were THE BEST water shoes that I've come across, particularly because (on the majority of models here), there is actually **a cushioned heel**. Most neoprene water shoes these days don't have any ankle/heel cushioning, it's just the one piece of material across the back, sometimes with an ill-conceived vertical seam right on the heel, but that tended to rub exactly in the wrong spot for me (and would obviously cause blisters when wet). Water shoes with a thicker, cushioned ankle was KEY for my (apparently delicate) feet, so I ordered 2 different pairs of these (the G_Navy with the orange inside as well as the I_purple with the laces) in two different sizes, 8 and 9 to compare my options. For reference, I wear a women's 8.5 and (in running shoes) a men's 8. The two purple pairs were AWESOME in color and style, certainly they were my favorite in terms of aesthetics. However, the 8 was much smaller than anticipated, and while the 9 fit just fine, the inside material of the shoe was similar to a normal shoe---which, without socks, I found to be a bit rough on bare skin. The two navy & orange pairs were much closer in sizing, both the 8 and 9 fit well, but the 9 fit better (so I didn't think they ran small at all). The notable characteristic of these pairs, though, was that they had a much softer neoprene-esque fabric as the inner lining, so they were much smoother and more comfortable to wear on bare skin. I assume that they're feel equally soft when wet, too. Overall, I kept the size 9 G_Navy blue ones (though I pouted about it a little because the purple ones were ADORABLE, but comfort wins over style). At least in these two colors, if you're in between sizes, the size bigger is probably your best bet. Long Story Short: different colors will be slightly different in both sizing and inside materials, so with free shipping/returns, you might want to try your luck with more than one. But, BOTH types that I tried, even the ones I returned, were still the best water shoes I've found in all my searching, so highly recommend them in terms of comfort. Hope they last a good while.

Almost perfect
I love these water shoes. I would have given them 5 starts but there is one snag for my use. I kayak on a lake that is bordered by rocky beaches. I take my dog and we walk the beaches together. I have several pairs of water shoes that have a stiffer sole on them. These are not those shoes. The soles are quite flexible, but they do have good tread. It just isn't all that comfortable to walk on rocks with these shoes. I think I will stow a pair of other shoes for when I get out on the beach. I love the way they have a velcro opening on top making them really easy to get on and off. My other water shoes are tight fitting and when wet, they are hard to get off. I think these would be perfect for beaches, pools, paddle boarding, or wind surfing. Really cool looking though so I would recommend with this minor caveat. I found them to be a bit loose fitting in width and I ordered my usual women's shoe size. They are unisex so that is likely why they fit wide. Not sure that sizing down would be recommended due to making them too short. I am OK with the fit. I didn't find myself slipping around inside the shoe side to side, even when walking on rocks.

Great shoe for the beach!
Love these shoes! I was a little worried about reviews mentioning sand being difficult to get out. I had no problems with that. Easily went from beach to pool to club house, to condo while on vacation. I have some balance issues and I found the ability to better feel the shifting sands under me *very* helpful! I even use them at home now. I love how quickly they dry, which is very important living in South East Louisiana! I can walk around my property while doing chores and not worry about the wet spots. A quick rinse, I hang up to dry and they are ready to go again in short order. So far they are holding up very well. A good value for the money.

Not great
I've been wearing hike footwear barefoot shoes for a while now and they're delightful. No foot pain, my sciatica and plantar fasciitis has improved etc. I have naturally wide feet so barefoot shoes are usually great for me. I ordered these because I like the netting on the side and thought they would be nice for summer. To start with the pros, they're cute. I like that they look a bit more like a traditional tennis shoe and I LOVE that they have velcro to keep the elastic straps in place instead of flopping around. Now, for the cons (and the reasons I will be returning these shoes). They are TERRIBLY uncomfortable. The toe box is not wide enough to spread my toes. The material used on the inside of the shoe is scratchy. And honestly I could have ignored those things and just used them as a last resort pair or for specific outfits, however I went on a walk in them this morning. It was less than 2 miles (i easily walk 5+ per day not including running errands or just doing things around the house- I'm regularly hitting 13k-17k steps daily). In less than two miles my calves were absolutely killing me and I felt like I was going to have blisters on the pad of my foot. The tread on these shoes might be great for traction but it's so thick and the grooves are so deep that it hurt me. I couldn't feel the ground, just the tread. And right where the foot pad is there's a large part of the tread that digs in. It's 730 am and I have a whole day ahead of me and my feet and calves are killing me. All in all they're cute and a decent price but they are not comfortable.

Love!
This has to be the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I do however wish they made a version without the holes. To fix the issue of damp coming in, I put gorilla tape on the inside under the insole. I wear them to golf in and to do my walks. I walk on gravel roads and unless I step on a particularly sharp rock, they are comfortable there as well. I wear a size 8 but found that I need the 9 because the left hit my middle toe and made it hurt.
