Works at gigabit, haven't tested 10, 5, or 2.5GbE yet. I really like the retractable feature, it makes it way more portable and not a mess inside your laptop bag. Ethernet is still far more reliable and fast than WiFi, especially if you have nbaseT support in your switch and network interface card. It seems well made. I'd be curious to know if its fully cat6 compliant, the cable itself doesn't have any markings to indicate spec, voltage, or awg. The little protector caps on the rj-45 connectors are neat, I've never seen them before.

Grabbed one of these for my tech bag, I'm worried the retractor won't hold up, but seems to be a decent cable and price. Happy so far, it works!

This robust portable ethernet cable provides a nice audible click when attached to the ethernet ports. Some may have issues with having to pull both ends to extend the length of the wire, leaving the middle piece of the unit to hang in the air, or if you extend it to place it on the table surface, then it leaves you with some excessively extended wire hanging from both sides. I purchased this to connect my laptop to our music system for when we’re scheduled in concert. It’s very compact, convenient, easy to use and the quick release and retraction helps keep our equipment setup and breakdown times to a minimum. That’s a HUGE plus! It works perfectly and hasn’t failed me yet over the past year so I’m extremely satisfied with this purchase. Thank you!!!

The end clips were the cincher for me - my last retractable the end tabs broke off. They are protected on this one.

Pros: Convenient size and retractable; Cons: Flimsy, not durable..clip failed after one year just being plugged in.
