Honeybee Gardens Effortless Eyeliner Pencil, Belgian Chocolate Brown, Smooth Long-Wearing, Rich Pigment, Vegan & Gluten-Free

I’ve been on the hunt for a clean eyeliner that actually performs, and the Honeybee Gardens Effortless Eye Liner in Jet Set Black is officially the winner. It is rare to find a product that checks all the "green" boxes without sacrificing quality, but this pencil delivers on every front. The pigmentation is incredible a true, deep black that goes on with a single swipe and the texture is buttery smooth, gliding across the lid without any of the frustrating tugging or pulling usually found in natural pencils. Despite being vegan and gluten-free, it has impressive staying power and doesn't smudge into my crease or migrate under my eyes by the end of the day. It’s gentle enough for my sensitive eyes yet bold enough for a sharp, dramatic look. If you want a high-performance, conscious liner that rivals the big luxury brands, this is absolutely the one to get.

I bought this liner in green and metallic gunmetal gray. They’re both beautiful! The green on my inner water line enhanced my hazel eyes so well and didn’t cause excessive irritation. It’s more subtle than dark brown or black. I’ll wear it the most, from now on to bring out the green in my eyes. The gunmetal gray is so gorgeous. I love the way these liners go on so smoothly and with no skin irritation. I specifically chose these because they are in real wood, so the liner won’t separate from the plastic fake wood, rendering the liner unable to be sharpened. I’m so done with liners that aren’t in real wood. I was very impressed by the European standards this eye liner meets, which are far more stringent than American standards. That’s important to me and I could really feel the difference on my water line. The quality is excellent and the shades are beautiful. Plus, they’re not expensive. These eyeliners are a fraction of the cost of Too Faced, Chanel, Lancome, Pat McGrath, etc., and they perform twice as well. I’ve worn so many different brands and they all have the same problem: the liner pulls away from the fake wood and it happens really fast. These eyeliner pencils are an excellent value. I will be exclusively using this eyeliner from now on. For real wood lip liners, try Morph. I finally said goodbye to my Holy Grail Chanel Nude lip liner, after 30 years , because of the fake wood issue. I found a shade in Morph that matches. MAC lip liner is also in real wood.

I bought this in the hope that it would not irritate my eyes and it doesn’t. Most eye makeup does to some extent or another. I also got the mascara. Pros: doesn’t irritate my eyes. Goes on very smoothly...the softest eyeliner I’ve ever used. It’s a really nice slightly greenish rich navy that makes my eyes look a bit bluer. Cons: the flip side of it being so soft is that you have to be very careful not to smudge it everywhere. I put powder under it, blend it with a small brush, then put powder over it. It stays put that way. Long-term update: I got really tired of how badly it smudged and got under my eyes and quit using it. Only buy if you are a total pro at keeping things put.

This is a WONDERFUL eyeliner that seems totally hypoallergenic. It never makes my eyes itch and goes on smoothly. I love it!!

Goes on easy lasts all day

I love the color. I did not like that it does not go on smoothly; it was not effortless as the title states. I really have to go back and forth to get it to leave any color, or press really hard (which is not good for the delicate eye area). Maybe it's just old, because other past reviewers said it went on smoothly and easily (and my other colors in this line go on smoothly--even after months of use). However, once I got this Charcoal gray color on, it really stays more so than the other colors in this brand. I have a tip for trying to sharpen these eye pencils. The white, plastic coating makes it difficult to sharpen, so I solve that by scraping all the white coating off with a sharp blade (such as a small pocket knife or a handy cutting blade kept in a tool box). All it takes is a gentle shave. I have really liked this line of pencils in the past, so I'm hoping the not-so-good quality of this color was just a fluke.

Very nice smooth eyeliner. Can be applied lightly or heavily and doesn’t catch in the eyelash crease. Does not slip or flake. Very creamy, easy to apply without fading off. No irritation, great color range

Wow, it’s truly terrible, especially compared to other non-toxic alternatives. It broke within the first try, and it’s tiny. I originally wanted a refund.

My small town’s pharmacy brought in a display of Honeybee cosmetics and I fell in love with this liner. The pharmacy never reordered Honeybee products again (so mad!). So happy to find it here! Still the best liner ever! Heavily pigmented colour and super soft and smooth ...plus cruelty free!
