YuanLey 10 Port 2.5G PoE Switch Unmanaged, 8 x 2.5G Base-T PoE Ports, 2X 10G SFP, IEEE802.3af/at, 120W, Compatible with 100/1000/2500Mbps, Metal Fanless, Desktop/Rack Mount 2.5Gbe Network Switch

These Chinese brand 2.5Gb switches (all of which use Realtek 2.5Gb switch chips) are excellent. While not the very fastest in benchmarks (see: ServeTheHome), they are consistent and almost linespeed even with all ports fully loaded. They are solidly built, with a nice feeling metal casing that's painted very evenly. Connectivity is spot on, and most variants including this one incorporate one or two 10Gb SFP+. The mixed mode connectivity means I have two of them uplinked together with single mode fibre (BiDi). Mounting was easy - I wall mounted one and rack mounted the other with the (sturdy) included rack ears. Setup is plug and play, as these are L2 unmanaged switches. Even with PoE and SFP+ they run cold, no issues with functionality under load at all. Best value for money 2.5Gb switches on the market, in my opinion!

So I needed a POE switch that I could rack mount into my case to connect my poe ptz cameras on stage to the main control position. I chose this one as gave double the amount of ports I'd need (giving me scope for future additions) and also gave me the ability to add in fibre connectivity to further increase the speed and transfer bandwidth between switches. It's well made with its metal chasis, comes complete with rack ears and i love that it has an iec connection on it rather than going down the route of an external power brick. Transfer speeds via both the network ports and the fibre port installed (need to add a fibre card into the available slots) have also been great. All in all it's a fantastic value switch thats handy to have in the kit bag or rack.

I've now confirmed this fault with a second unit, but after 6 hours of troubleshooting I can certainly narrow down my WiFi issues to this 8 port POE 2.5gbps switch. Unfortunately any time my unifi WiFi Access Points are wired via this switch, I have all sorts of connectivity issues and dropped connections. Usually with a "configuration error" listed. As soon as I bypass this switch, everything goes back to normal. Even when I run my APs off of a second switch and use them with a dedicated POE injector they still have issues. Wired devices seem to work fine, devices can communicate with each other, but I just have constant WiFi connection drops whenever this one switch is in the system. As soon as I move one WiFi AP to this switch then everything on that AP starts to drop out.

If unmanaged is what you require then these switches are great, I have two 8 ports versions and one 4 port version running to take care of my POE requirements along with the useful 2.5Gb throughput. Only using POE IEEE 802.3af but these switches will also do POE+ IEEE 802.3at. Can also confirm the SFP+ port works well, I am using a universal SFP+ DAC cable on my 4 port version to hook it to another switch, cant test if it does 10Gb throughput and it would surprise me if it did because I would imagine they could get away with less given customer buying this type of brand arent likely to be shifting 10Gb between switches. Its not going to be an enterprise grade chipset inside, maybe someone can prove me wrong and perhaps I can figure out a test myself. The 2.5Gb side of things is working without issue and there hasnt been a single POE issue since install.

I was a little bit sceptical about getting a switch from a brand I hadn't heard of before, but I've been pleasantly surprised by this YuanLey. 2.5GbE and PoE+ work just as they should, the switch is silent, and the case feels sturdy and just about as nice as a TP-Link or Netgear switch. I was pleased that it came with rack ears and a rubber cover for the SFP+ port too, since I thought those were the sort of things that might have been left out to save a few pennies. I would happily buy another switch from the same brand.

Just hooked up this 10 G unit and it to works great. Quiet and data transfers perfect. I tried the TP-Link 10 G unmanned switch. That switch was louder than I wanted or expected. So I ordered this one. Awesome switch.

Ho potuto testare questo switch grazie ad amazon vine. Ora: se c'è una cosa che influisce molto sulle mie recensioni è il rapporto qualità/prezzo. Spesso mi sono trovato a dover togliere una o più stelle a prodotti che per il resto erano ottimi, ma il cui prezzo era attestato verso l'alto, invece che su un livello medio-giusto. Ecco, in questo caso siamo in presenza di un articolo che secondo me è posizionato benissimo come rapporto qualità/prezzo. Appena si prende in mano lo switch, la sua pesantezza restituisce subito un feedback positivo, di robustezza. Ma al di là della prima impressione, ciò che conta è la sua funzionalità "sul campo": bene, non sono certo un tecnico di reti internet, ma sono rimasto davvero soddisfatto dalla sua resa e dalla semplicità di utilizzo (in pratica basta alimentarlo e collegare i cavi ethernet, punto e basta). Le porte attive sono segnalate dalla accensione di un led e nel suo ciclo operativo non ho avuto il minimo problema di connessione. Non mi addentro in discorsi tecnici che non mi competono, ma da parte mia (non un profano, ma neppure un esperto), è un prodotto valido, al giusto prezzo. Sintesi: 5 stelle

I've been using this switch along with a 10G fiber SFP to provide fast networking to all of my office devices without having to run multiple ethernet lines for the past 6 months. The PoE functionality is useful for powering a Ubiquiti U7Pro with 2.5G connectivity, to provide better speeds to my front yard and office. No setup needed besides power as it's an un-managed switch. Used Velcro strips to attach it to my PC and I am truly surprised how good it is for the cost.

J’ai installé le switch YuanLey 6 ports dans mon réseau : malgré une légère chauffe (amplifiée par la canicule), il n’a jamais donné le moindre avertissement ni provoqué de coupure. Mes trois points d’accès PoE tournent à plein régime, et il me reste encore un port libre pour plus tard. Zéro configuration lourde : tout est 100 % plug-and-play. Son châssis métallique, sans ventilateur, reste totalement silencieux, même quand il fait très chaud. Le module SFP+ m’a permis de relier mon routeur Digi à 10 Gbps sans la moindre complication, pour une connection internet 10Gb. Je ne l'ai pas encore fixer au mur mais tout est fournie dans la boite pour le faire. En résumé, malgré une montée en température en surface, ce switch se révèle à la fois fiable, silencieux et évolutif : parfait pour profiter d’une puissance réseau sans prise de tête !
