Horrible taste not the best quality

I was intrigued by the Amazon promo and thought I’d give this Ginseng product a try. The price tag was startling at first, but if you figure eight refills (with water) a bottle, you’re looking at $1.35 a serving. This opens the door to a fairly long term experience, if you decide to go down that road.Perhaps, my biggest concern would be the product comes without documentation, i.e., detailed product info, directions, and possible side effects, that sort of thing. There’s some useful information on the bottle itself, but the print is so light and small and smudged that it takes a real effort to read it. I was able to get the gist with a magnifying glass, but it wasn’t easy.As for the effects promised, after sipping through an entire bottle, I surmise that the effects will be different for each user because we all have different metabolisms. I didn’t feel the effects suggested in the promo, exactly, but I definitely felt something. It wasn’t a jittery feeling but it wasn’t subtle either. I went off to run some errands and enjoyed the trek more than usual. I also felt a little more comfortable interacting with people.As I understand it, one shouldn’t use this ginseng product for longer than a few months, but the promo info doesn’t explain why or what could happen if one decided to use ginseng as part of one’s day-to-day lifestyle and daily routine.I was able to find some info about ginseng online and, via a reputable medical site, found that it can affect your blood pressure, either on the high side or the low. Since I monitor my own blood pressure, I had the presence of mind to check it before and after drinking a bottle. My blood pressure is usually in the normal range, so I can report a 15 point increase in systolic, a 10 point increase in diastolic, and a 6 point increase in heart rate after drinking a full bottle.By early afternoon, my BP and HR were back to normal and the effects were mild and rather pleasant. At this point, I noticed a subtle heightening of awareness and an improvement in functionality during my daily routine.But, the initial variance in my BP and HR is enough to recommend checking with your doctor before using. Another helpful hint is to avoid caffeine when using this product.I suggest that anyone who decides to use this product do their own research and come to their own conclusions as to whether it fits their lifestyle. I plan to continue to research the product before I make a decision about whether to continue its use over an extended period.Since ginseng is new to me, I can only assume that people who regularly (or even sometimes) use ginseng tea may like this product. But I’m reluctant to make a firm recommendation. As I said, it probably impacts people differently depending upon one’s metabolism and constitution.I give the producer the benefit of the doubt as to the desired effects and will continue to experiment with this product. But I take one star off for the disclosure issues I’ve outlined above.

My husband was very excited to receive these drinks. They arrived packaged very securely.His concern is that the date stamped on the bottle says 06/27/2023. The label on the bottle (see pic) says best before that date. That means these are more than 6 months expired!He had a very small taste, so we could report the flavor. He said that it had an earthy root bitter flavor but sweet. However, due to these being expired, he will not be consuming.Overall, we are both extremely disappointed that we were shipped a very expired product.

This was ordered on January 12, 2024 and received on January 15, 2024. The date on the bottle is 06/27/2023. I'm not sure if it's expired or if the printed date is the manufacturing date. I think it's a best-by-date but I still took a chance and tried it out. I'm not too much of a stickler for expiration dates but this is way out of field.You can definitely taste the ginseng with a ginseng root being marinated in the liquid. The flavor is pretty good as far as a ginseng drink can be and you do get a rather big 16oz bottle. Even with the large bottles, I feel the price is a little high at $10 per bottle. It does say you can refill it to use again but I'm not sure if you just refill it with water or add other things since the original does have some flavoring other than ginseng. Also, how long should I let it steep? Hot or cold water? Some instruction would be helpful.I am being generous with a 2 star rating for an expired item. I gave it the extra star in case I might be wrong but even on the label, it states that the date is a best by date.

These are definitely among the more interesting drinks I've ever tried in my life. Very unique and different with a whole ginseng root in each large bottle. The taste is quite unusual, too -- earthy and rich with a pleasant flavor that's unlike anything else I've tried. These seem to have a mild energizing effect, as well. I just plain feel good after enjoying one, and I can honestly say I savored every sip of these.Unfortunately, my package did not come with the documentation that apparently would have told me I can refill the bottles for additional uses, so I can't speak to how well that feature works. However, I very much enjoyed the drinks themselves. They're a bit pricey, so maybe not a practical addition to my daily routine, but the product itself is wonderful and well worth a try. Very, very pleasant, interesting beverage for sure.
