Great quality. Well packaged. Includes tools to make the job easier. Pads clipped right in and were easier to secure than authentic Sennheiser replacement pads. I was even able to use the provided tools to simplify the installation of replacement pads for my HD 280 pros, which don't clip in. Highly recommend this product!

The Sennheiser HD598s were the first headphones I ever bought with my first paycheck. The original ear pads lasted about 3 years before they ripped open. These replacements felt nearly identical and with the exact same usagrme and OUTLASTED The original ear pads. The headphones are still going strong after 13 years now and this is the 4th earpad replacement I have needed. I will always buy this brand of replacements until it is no longer offered.

I bought a pair of these for my Sennheiser 558s since Sennheiser is making the official ear cup replacements harder to find and more expensive every year. So, I thought I'd try out a third party. My ear cups are about 3-4 years old so it was time for a replacement. Pros 1. They are comfortable. Good padding, good velour cover, and the texture is similar enough that it doesn't really feel much different from the original ear cups. 2. Decently priced. Official ear cup replacements go for $35+ for the 558/598/etc series of headphones if you can even find them. These are in stock, available now, and approximately half the price. 3. Good attention to detail here. They have a similar design to the official earcups, which includes having leatherette on the insides of the ear cup (it changes the sonic properties). They also snap to the frame just like the originals. Design and installation is very similar overall to the originals. 4. They don't change the sound signature, at least not that I noticed. I mean, there's the obvious change when going from a beat up, flat, old ear cup to a fresh set that still holds its original shape, but my headphones still sound like the same old Sennheiser 558s that I've been using for nearly a decade. 5. Neutral 1. They are not the same overall shape as the original Sennheiser ear cups. Geekria's ear cups are fatter than the original ear cups, so the ear cup feels larger when you wear them. Some people may like it, others may not, but you can tell the difference between this and the real ear cups when you put them on. Cons 1. Not sure yet. Other than being a little warmer, the velour being a little different, and the ear cups being fatter, there isn't such a massive difference that it entirely changes the experience. However, I did prefer the slightly stiffer, slimmer, and slightly softer official ear cups from Sennheiser more. That isn't Geekria's fault in the slightest. It's literally just preference. Overall, this is a good purchase, especially since Sennheiser doesn't seem like it wants to stock ear cups for this lineup of headphones consistently (and when it does, it overcharges for them dramatically). So, I greatly appreciate that a third party has taken up the reigns and given us some way to keep our headphones alive and kicking. I am satisfied with my purchase, even if it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, and since these ear cups are getting harder and harder to find, I'll likely be back when my headphones need new pads. Thank you Geekria. These are almost as good as the originals (to me, at least), and that's more than good enough for a thumbs up from me.

Will be returning these. Buyer beware, I spent a frustrating 20 minutes trying to fit these on HD598 and it won't clip on. The original ones required a pry tool to get out, these new ones won't even clip on. Press one side, the other side pops out. If you get it slightly in, a small tug or twist and the whole thing falls out. That's just for one pad, the other pad I won't clip on AT ALL. Tried it on both left and right, tried it both right side up, right side down...nothing just garbage. I was really excited to receive these today too. In the video you see me show you example of how it won't clip on...and compare to how the original broken one at the end clips on perfectly. The original clips on so tightly it requires a pry tool to get out. These ones won't clip on, and fall out as soon as you rotate or tug on it.

Took a gamble buying these ear pads, sense I got them for the HD558s, which are not listed, at least not that I could find any where, though I expected they might fit given they do list many of the headphones in the same line, and well, they do fit, these replaced pads that I had 3 years plus and had started to come apart at the seems, They feel just as good as the originals, I don't know if they feel better, sense its been at least 3 years sense I've felt the originals new, but they don't feel bad at all, it was interesting to find out just how deflated the originals had gotten after replacing them, I had to extend the speakers out more so that my ears would fit inside the pads once more, The only thing I can tell that might be a con, but this is nitpicking, is that the padding seems to come inward more so, I mean the inner diameter seems smaller, though its all too possible that I had just stretched out the originals so much after taking them off to clean them over the years, the other possible con, again nitpicking, is the inner material, soft but I am worried that I may easily rip it trying to take the ear pads off for cleaning. That all said, given if I wanted a new set of the originals, it'd cost me nearly double these did, I say these are well worth the price, that is, if they last longer then half the original ones did heh, still for now, happy with my purchase.

I was super sad when I accidentally ripped my ear pads on my original HD 598s. Thankfully replacement parts exist like this one and $17 is a heck of a lot better than paying $200 for a replacement pair of cans, or possibly shelling primo cash out for the proper OEM parts by talking to Sennheiser. They are not nearly as soft as the OEM pads, but they will do. For anyone that is curious how to replace their pads on a HD598, you want to grab inside the cushion, right next to where the cushion meets the speaker cover, you want to then pull it outwards, since the cushion is held on with little plastic claws facing outward. it may take a bit of effort at first if you're not completely familiar with it. when putting the replacements on, you want to keep the cushion in place with your finger on the inside, then push down on the outside, on the plastic ring that holds the cushion to the rest of the headset. slide your finger around while pushing down and it should all click in place.

Exactly what I expected when I bought them. Hadn't even realized how much the quality of the sound from my headphones actually had suffered with the old battered original earpads until I finally replaced them. The 'boiled frog' effect is so easy to creep up on you./ Sufficed to say at first I thought the pads where 'stiff' since my old ones where so mushy by then but after wearing them for a few hours they started to feel really comfy and the sound I love came back in full force. Honestly I can't really say if these alter the sound relative to the stock earpads they might to some slight degree but I can't tell. What matters is the sound is great, they are just as comfortable as the originals and they where a breeze to install and I'd easily recommend them to other HD 5xx users.

Had some initial trouble with the earpads. Thought they did not fit. Turns out the glue on the old pads had disconnected from the plastic piece, keeping me from placing the new one properly. A bit stiffer than the ones I had, but feel nice. Very little instruction on them, even checking their website. I only was able to realize my issue by looking at a Youtube video and noticed the snap grooves were deeper than what I had.

Veramente ottimi questi ricambi per le HD 598....li ho cambiati in 5 minuti e ora li sto utilizzando....veramente ottimi e confortevoli....li consiglio vivamente, la sostituzione e' durata 5 minuti di orologio, puliti gli interni e fatto tutto con la doverosa calma e attenzione, si installano semplicemente con un po' di pressione lungo tutta la parte esterna

交換用として購入しました。 純正品と比較しても、遜色ないと感じました。 取り替える際に少し難儀しましたが、一度カチッとはまってからは外れることも無く、問題なく使用できています。 価格を抑えて交換できることを考えると、総合的に見てとても満足できる買い物だったと思っています

Quel plaisir de changer les coussinets sans avoir a racheter un nouveau casque. Changement simple à faire une fois bien étudié le casque. La vidéo ne m'a pas vraiment aidé. 1) Retirer le vieux coussinet en tirant doucement sans forcer pour éviter de casser les embouts plastiques servant à le tenir. 2) La remise du coussinet est simple en regardant bien à l'alignement du coussinet. Le click confirme sa bonne mise en place. La forme du coussinet parait plus grosse et épaisse. Peut-être mieux car enveloppe plus l'oreille. La mousse paraît plus dure mais bon c'est peut-être normal avec une ancienne mousse utilisée depuis 6 ans. Le coussinet est bien adapté et est plus ou moins confortable après une dizaine d'heures. Voir par la suite.

Youtubeのパーツ交換動画をいくつか適当に視聴後、雰囲気で交換しました。 他の方のレビュー通り、交換当初は少し硬めの装着感になるもののすぐ慣れます。 チューニングコットンについてググってもよくわからない所が気になりますが、 品質は良いです。 HD598は、ケーブル含めサードパーティ製の修繕パーツが豊富なのが本当にたすかります。 気に入っているので長く使いたいです。

These replaced the earcups on my HD518's which I've been using for a few years now. These made me go from "I want new headphones" to "I can use these for a good few more years". They're very comfortable and I find the material more agreeable than the original ear-cups. I can't speak for their longevity, but they're not terribly expensive and I wouldn't mind investing in spares should they wear out.
