I ordered 4 Life Straws to be used by family to take with them on hikes as a water filter and to hold in reserve for emergency water quality problems. They arrived well packaged. While I have not yet used the product, they appear to meet the description of the seller and am reasonably confident they will function well.

Man, these are so fun. I brought them to the mountains. The other weekend gave one to my buddy and we started using them right away just drinking from the river and then later on a different river attached a liquid bag and just squeeze from it. I also put it in my water bottle and just drink it like a straw from my water bottle. 4000 L of usage. This is going to last a while. I use that other popular water filter. I forget what the name is now but the real popular one for a couple years and that was good, but this literally like a straw if you wanted it to be. :-)

We've just had a few earthquakes (3) in 2 weeks in the Vancouver area and I was looking for a smaller version of the current Lifestraws that we already have for emergency planning - these fit the bill. I've put one in each of my kids' backpacks and it should cover the water components. No more bottles of water going to waste - just have these around whether we are camping or for emergencies.

Great product for outdoors or if you're travelling to a country where you unsure about quality of water or if chlorine water upsets your stomach. Best easy to use. Price is a little high comparable to other competitors but incredibly convenient. Must use on hiking trips , camping trips and if you travelling to Asia, Africa and have weak immune system to avoid any infection.
