Two pack is a great price for a great condiment that makes everything taste better
This is as good , maybe better , than most chow chow . I like it on greens , beans , hot dogs . This hot chow chow is just a little spicy and I like it hot buttered cornbread . My second time ordering but not my last time .

Good stuff
Great on hot dogs and beans! Not as good as what my grandma use to make but a good substitute.

Chow Chow, always thought it was Green Tomato Relish...
My Grandmother born in South Carolina and married in Mississippi, had a récipe that dated back over two hundred years. This comes as close to what I remember, more so than any other product I've found. Searched for years always thinking it was a Green Tomato Relish... until someone online told me know that's Chow-Chow... have been looking for it for over fifty years.

Sweet? Yes. Hot? No.
The product was wrapped in bubble plastic and arrived in good condition. The taste is reminiscent of sweet pickle relish and sauerkraut except it lacks the fermented funk and tang of pickled cabbage. It’s overwhelmingly sweet without a hint of heat or spice. I tried it several different ways on sausages and with barbecue but the chow didn’t add anything to the meal except unwanted sweetness

Indispensible now
I bought two jars when I ran across an old family photo of my grandmother making Chow Chow back in Chicago in 1946. Everybody had their own recipe and everybody made it. My family never heard of it. Nobody wanted to try it until curiosity got the better of them. Now we are in panic mode without a jar around. I buy four a month. We like the "hot" version. It isn't really "hot", just a bit prickly. We now use it on steak, fish, lamb, especially pork and chicken, salad - jut about everything but jello and apple pie. We ran out last night and I was about to throw the empty jar when my wife took it and scrapped the inside clean with a butter knife to get the dribbles. To us, it is that good. Just finished ordering four more jars. We tried Amish and it is great. I'm ordering other versions, and Amish is great, but so far this brand seems to be the one.
