How durable are the wheels?  i work in nyc and my last two bags did not live up to the streets in nyc,

I'm on my second rolling backpack.  The first lasted several years but ultimately a flaw in the wheel design caused a problem.  I purchased the second in August 2021 and noticed the wheel axle has been redesigned no doubt due to complaints.   So far so good - wheels operate just fine.

I still love this backpack which I almost never zip closed (so have not experience problems with the fabric).  I keep certain items I might need in various pockets and use the main compartment to tote all the stuff I transport back and forth to work everyday.   It's sturdy enough to carry a lot of weight and the large wheels roll well through snow and slush.  Still highly recommend.

How much weight can this bag carry? Grandson carries 60+ pounds daily for school

I bought this bag to carry my soccer referee equipment which does not weigh 60 pounds. If I were in your situation,  given the fact that Amazon has unbelievable return policy, I would buy it and test it out. If the bag does not seem well made enough for your purpose, just return it. Sorry, I cannot be more specific.

Yes, our wheel is 18CM(7inch) Wider, easy thru airplane aisles and stair. If it is rainy, it can prevent the rolling backpack from contacting the rain on the ground, it is matter
