This pan is not only versatile, but also attractive. The brown border, the handles, and the golden main color really caught my attention as being a wonderful casserole pan for many items! I tried it out with my Chocolate cake recipe that is vintage and borrowed from a good friend’s Mother-in-Law. It is a large sheet cake I have made in other pans that are too big or too small. The cake needs to be about 2-3” tall and not round. This Lifver pan is perfect. It measures 8 1/4” wide and 11 1/2” long on the inside and 10” x 13” on the outside! The inside measurements is what makes the difference and allows the cake to cook in the required time of 30 minutes! The depth is 2 1/2” which is also perfect! Other pans have been too narrow or short that are a length of 13”. It fits with my other casserole pans and would make a great Lasagna, Chicken & Rice casserole, or great roast. I’m excited to have found it at Amazon!

This was one of the best quality dishes I’ve had and is well sustained in the dishwasher. It’s thick and sturdy. I use it frequently to cook focaccia bread.

I checked it with magnets & it is NOT steel. They should not even use the words carbon steel in the description. That is very misleading. If I needed another non-metal casserole baking-dish/pan, I would've kept this because it is indeed quite nice. I wanted a casserole-baking dish/pan that I could use on stove top to brown or par-cook before placing in the oven to bake or roast or broil, and then to be able to take from oven to stove top to make gravy/sauce after baking or roasting meat/poultry/fish/vegetables. This is suitable for oven & microwave only. It is a beautiful casserole-baking dish & of generous size, but definitely not steel & not suitable to use on a stove top burner or flame.

This dish is deeper than expected and ot holds up use after use. Its easy to clean and the handles are a great width and thickness for easy and stable handling.

I love the color, weight, size, and depth of this dish. The curved handles are easy to grab, and it is a beautiful dish to take straight from the oven to the dining table. I needed a deeper casserole dish especially for lasagna. The one I had been using was not deep enough, and at times liquid would bubble over making a mess in my oven. This is so perfect, and I will probably be giving it as a gift to a few family members in the future. Love the color and style of it as well. Cleans up beautifully also. Very happy with this item!
