Fits exactly and appears to be a sturdy construction.
Ideal replacement.

Works great
This item does fit a DFS sofa. You just need to file away the bit on the handle that holds the screw end and tighten the screws after you have put the retaining clip in place first. Also attach the L clip to the main frame before you put the black holding clip in as it gives you enough cable to attach it. It took about 20 mins and has saved me ยฃ85 to call someone out as my DFS guarantee didnโt cover this repair

Works ok with drilling handle
Works ok but doesn't fit DFS sofa I had to drill handle to fit but it works.

Does the job
These are a good replacement for our broken cable. They are easy to fit, once you have managed to turn the sofa over to access the cable?

Easy to fit.
The most difficult thing was turning my sofa on its side as it weighs so much. I had a friend come round to help me and after turning it on its side, the xx me was really easy to fit. I had to make a slight adjustment ie drill the retainer hole slightly larger as they have obviously changed the cables over the years. The new one has a large spring on it and definitely works better than the old one ever did.

Saved buying a new recliner
Took apart the old recliner after the recline function stopped working, saw this cable had snapped and came on to see if I could buy a replacement. Less than ยฃ5 later and 15 mins to install (I found it difficult to get the old plastic clip out, ended up breaking it into bit to get it out otherwise it would have taken 2mins to install). The recline function is now smoother than it ever was before and the cable seems sturdier than the original too.

Wrong size
Unfortunately, although I got next-day delivery, the replacement was not the right type. Had got the impression that this was a standard size, but the dog-leg connector end was considerably longer than the one it is to replace, so it won't work. Looks good and good value, but perhaps better checking would have got the right type.

Worked perfectly for my recliner cable that broke, itโs easy to replace if you follow one of the videos on YouTube.The price was very good and shipped fast.
