Great fit and quality
Great fit and terrific skate for older boy at the Freeskate level, learning single jumps and possibly axel. Definately look at the size charts on the Riedell website sizing is different for each model.

Size Down, Great Beginner Skates
I am an adult, weigh 130lbs and I bought these skates as a beginner because I read that Riedell fits narrow feet any my feet are shaped like hotdogs. I usually wear a size 10 sneaker and I sized down to a 9. They are still a little bit too long. I wish they had half sizes but you would have to order them somewhere else. Furthermore they are too narrow in the bones on the sides of the ball of my foot. I have been trying to break them in, but it doesn't seem to be getting better and my feet are killing me. I tried arch supports because I have medium-high arches, but that just moved the pain to a different part of my foot and made them fit even bigger than before. They are a high quality skate for beginner adults. I think where I went wrong was that my toes are really long so it's just not a good profile for my particular anatomy. They seemed to fit when I first bought them but after skating a few times, I could tell there is too much room in my toes. They don't feel like an extension of my foot so I feel like I am taking the skate with me when I am on the ice. Otherwise, I am totally happy with the quality. If they did fit, I can see them being really comfy because of all the padding. The ankle support is great for basic things like crossovers and my heel is locked down. I did have to get them shapened first because they did not come that way. My point is that you should really get professionally fitted if you can. Update: I got professionally fitted and I measured a size 8. I wear a 10 in sneakers and a 9 1/2 in sandals. They sold me some Jackson insoles which created more room in the toe but it completely fixed the pain in the side of my foot joint by my pinky toe. So I'm going to have to buy a new pair and I'll probably opt for the Crystals.

Perfect for figure skaters
My daughter has been skating for years. She has needed new skates and these are PERFECT for her! They are tight and thick around the ankles which makes it great for figure skaters!

Buyer beware of this skate
Boot fits well. Shoe laces ripped apart trying to tie the boot up. Have to get strong laces. The blade is dull. No sharp edges. Has to be sharpened. Over priced for sure. I expected a lot more. Not expecting a skate rental skate quality.

Love these skates
I recently took ice skating lessons (as an adult) and these were the skates I picked. I love them so much and they are very beautiful. What I didn't know was that with any kind of ice skate, blades tend to rust quickly, which is the case with mine. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend to a friend. The gems were the cherry on top.

Too narrow in the front
I ordered size 11 which is what I wear in most shoes. I also wear size 11 Bauer hockey skates that fit fine. But I could barely jam my foot into these. And yes I did remove all the paper from the toes of the boot. Clearly these are designed to be very tight up front, but I will never understand why some manufacturers think that having your foot squeezed so tight that the bones are scrunched and no blood can flow is somehow great for athletic endevours. I don’t buy Nike’s for the same reason. In addition, these arrived scuffed, even though they were clearly fresh from the manufacturer. Returning these and wont even try 12s cuz these are just to narrow.

Very comfortable
I sized according to the chart and they fit me perfectly. No defects on my skates and they are way more comfortable than my Jackson Artiste.
