Armstrong has been a dependable watch to me for the better part of almost two decades, the range of colors makes finalizing your choice a little harder but you won’t find a more durable watch that’s super easy to use and easy to tell the time in the dark because the light is bright enough for you to see but not over power your eyes

I've always had nothing buy high praise for Armitron's watches, but this model just falls far short or their usual quality. There's no lume on the hands, except for a tiny dot on the arbor (center post); it's confusing, useless and, frankly, kind of juvenile. Shiny chrome hands can play the worst tricks on you, catching all sorts of ever-changing reflections and seeming to disappear until you get just the right viewing angle: a recurring hassle. I guess the "artistic" open triangle design of the hands was meant to ameliorate the blocking of the digital screens (virtually impossible), but they don't achieve that objective, either. If anything, they've managed to block out more area than with a conventional thin hand design, and they just look dumb. Even the date figures are reversed: instead of the usual month then day, it's day then month. Today is 31 - 10, according to their design logic. Armitron rocks, but this model's no hit single.

I love the style and features of this combination analog/digital watch. Also like the fast that it’s water resistant, that’s the main reason I ordered it, so I could keep time at the beach. It is very easy to program and the hand dials set like a traditional watch by pulling out the side knob and turning. The instructions that came with it could have been a little clearer but I figured it out watching a few videos. Comfort wise it is very lightweight and comfortable, you barely know you are wearing it. My only issue is it’s a bit difficult to read, by both the digital readout and hands. I am a bit visually challenged so I’m not going to knock it too much for that. I will definitely still use this watch because Ilove the looks of it. Price is a great value! I would purchase again and highly recommend!

The analogue/hands stopped working at a year, year and a half.

This is a very nice watch with good features and a pleasing design. I was looking for a watch to wear every day while working in the yard or in my shop. The Armitron Sport watch is almost too nice for such abuse but so far, it has held up very well. The flexible band is very comfortable and makes wearing it all day quite easy. I especially like the light feature that helps illuminate the time under darker conditions. It was easy to read and intuitive to select. As for being water-resistant to 330 feet, I did not wear it scuba diving and it is too early in the season for swimming. However, between yard work and working in my shop, I wash my hands, a lot! Each time, I intentionally soaked the watch while washing just to challenge the water-resistant claim. And I also wore the watch in the shower several times with no apparent damage. It is worth noting that the documentation that came with the watch stressed that the buttons should NOT be used while the watch is underwater! The stainless-steel back was a different design from the usual, threaded or compression fit styles with which I am familiar. The instructions indicate that battery replacement should be done through a jeweler or watch repair facility. However, I did notice that there are four screws, one in each corner on the back of the watch but I don't know if removing them would provide access to the battery or if it is just to attach the outer "shell" around the watch that contains the control buttons.

I got this watch as an early birthday present for my 11-year-old autistic son. He has trouble tracking time, especially during the summer, and this watch will let him either practice reading a clock or just let him read the digital portion. It seems well made with a very sturdy band, which has been a failure point for watches for us in the past. Another bonus is that the band color is red which is his favorite color. I like that there are multiple functions in the watch in case he wants to learn how to use them, but it doesn't seem like it's going to be too easy to accidentally change the watch mode into a different mode. That was something he always found frustrating with his previous Ironman triathlon style watch (We bought that one due to a combination of price and water resistance). One last thing that I thought was a really nice touch was that it arrived with nearly the correct time. If it hadn't been for daylight savings time it would have been spot on. The month and the day were also preset. Five stars. If it doesn't live up to my expectations, I will update this review accordingly.

It’s a good price but despite all the plastic that makes it look like it’s extra protected, the glass sits above the body of the watch about a half millimeter so it’s exposed to damage. Silly design I’d say.
