From a big guy
The shoe fit great. Just like the other ones I have bought. They are wide toe … any fit just great. I use them all the time for the gym. I’ve had my first pair for over a year and they’re still good… the inside quality is a lot left to be desired, however. They have corrected the arch on my foot since I am completely flat footed…. You’re talking to a man that actually wears hiking shoes to work.

A Comfortable Shoe
I’ve worn these for about a month now, so far they seem pretty durable, and offer a nice flat sole with decent traction. Fit is good but it will vary based on your foot. For me the wide toe box is exactly what I wanted, and for the price it’s a solid deal.

Amazing value
These are fantastic! The wide width is actually wide (fits like a 4E). The wide toe box is super comfortable and the shoe is very lightweight. Great traction in the wet or dry. And the shoe is one of the few zero drops available with enough padding to be comfortable all day. The orange color is vibrant and fun. The shoe may not last as long as comparable Altras, but at 1/6th the price, you'll come out way ahead.

Foot Shaped Shoes Saved Me!
I've always had trouble with shoes cramping my big toe causing pain. I always thought I was a freak or Fred Flintstone with that big toe but now we have the internet and reading up I found out about "foot shaped" shoes. Why would any shoe not be foot shaped you may ask... well, apparently fashion simply doesn't accept that feet aren't pointed and most shoes are designed to cause foot problems. I can't say I started with Whitin foot shaped shoes, my first pair were some hiking boots made by Altra but WOW, it was a game changer. Prior I'd buy Asics, they had a reasonably wide toe box but nothing like a true foot shaped shoe. So when I saw inexpensive Whitin shoes on amazon touting foot shaped toe boxes I had to try them out. I have these and I also have a very minimal pair with pretty much no cushioning. I love them both but these feel like wearing a comfy slipper. I don't think I'd consider them for running though but for a general purpose walk around shoe they're fantastic and I even like how they look. Never did like bright colored soles or glitzy sneakers. I hope Whitin expands their offerings into other footwear.

Five stars for the fit, one star for the durability
I put a lot of miles on shoes. I am not a small person, so I tend to destroy shoes pretty quickly. The good:These shoes fit wide, triangle-profile feet very well (Big toe is the longest, then each toe gets progressively shorter - looking down, it looks like a triangle.) I used to look for 4E shoes, now I look for foot-shaped shoes, like these. They are semi-barefoot shoes, meaning that they are barefoot shape, there is zero drop, but there is a bit of cushioning like a more standard running shoe. The sole has a good base thickness and very small traction features with contributes to getting decent life out of the sole as long as you stay on pavement or flat dirt. These are not an off-road shoe. The ugly:The interior of these shoes, for me, lasts about 50 miles. This is abysmal. I have several holes develop. One in the inside, low down on my heel and one at the top of the rigid plastic heel counter. These get progressively larger over time. With strategic taping and thicker socks I can still wear them, but they do start to eat the socks. I get about 250 miles out of the sole before it wears through. This is pretty good for an inexpensive shoe and they certainly last longer than soles with large lugs on them. The soles obviously get more slick when the little traction features wear off, but for street use they are fine.I have worn out several pairs of these in exactly the same way. Why? The fit. I am actively looking for other shoes with a similar fit that I hope will last longer.
