I purchased these to replace the factory speakers in my '99 4runner. The paper speakers just weren't giving me the listening experience I needed and the tweeters really didn't seem to be putting anything out. Install/Fit: 4.5/5 Fit was great, crutch field said the tweeters would need to surface mount but they fit perfectly into the factory bracket. Some people say there isn't enough wiring between the crossovers and the tweeter and the subs, but it was plenty for the 4runner. The woofer doesn't mount perfectly into the factory speaker bracket, but the adapter that jbl ships with the speakers makes install a breeze. Listening experience:4/5 As for the listening experience I really can't complain. I listen to a great variety of music from bluegrass to minimal heavy house to metal. It's not as crisp and detailed as my Harman Kardon system in my Subaru, but compared to my factory speakers the detail in the mids is distinct and noticeable, you really get the bang for your buck here. The highs really stand out and you can really hear what the tweeters are contributing, a bit harsh, which can be corrected with some proper EQ. The bass is great, JBL is known for it, if you're a real bass head audiophile you might finding yourself wanting to add the sub, but these are enough for my listening preferences.. I can close my eyes and really sink into the music, very happy I got these. Cost: 5/5 I got these on a black Friday sale, I paid next to nothing for them so it was a no brainer. Still think the value for the money is there at full price though. As for powering these. My Pioneer head unit gives me plenty of headroom for decent listening. I'll probably upgrade the rear speakers in the next month and spend a year listening to see if I really need the headroom an amp would provide.

Used to upgrade oem speakers in 2013 JB43 Jimny. Reused stock wiring but added a short length at end to make speaker testing and removal easier. Perfect fit and incredible upgrade of sound quality and loudness. Used a dampening kit to mount the speaker (as the jimny already has enough loose parts knocking around) and was surprised it still fit in the factory trim.

clear sound but weak bass

These 3.5" JBL CLUB 34F speakers are suitable for replacing your vehicle's factory speakers. In my case, they're for the dashboard area of ​​a 2007 Chrysler 300C Touring. They have excellent sound; they're not at all harsh, and you'll notice that voices are more present and natural than with the factory speakers, without sounding out of place, crackling, or shrill. This is due to the silk dome design. The speakers look and feel high-quality, have a good magnet, and fit snugly in the opening. I'm usually quite demanding when it comes to music; I can't stand loud speakers that cause ear fatigue, and these speakers made me smile when I plugged them in. They sound fantastic. For all these reasons, I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone who's unsure. They're truly fantastic and will put a smile on your face from the first time you hear them.

These sound really good right out of the box and are definitely an upgrade from stock Lexus speakers. Minus one star for poor packing/shipping. I was shocked to see that my two pairs of speakers arrived in a non-padded brown Amazon bag. When I opened the bag, I found both packages partially crushed. Luckily the speakers still work fine, but Amazon should be more careful about how they ship speakers.

Just like any other speaker, easy install if you know what you’re doing or have a decent install video for your vehicle. But these speakers make a HUGE difference in sound quality over stock speakers. I would say a 65% increase in power and quality over the stock ones I replaced. Would highly recommend.

Great sound

I do not recommend these speakers. I purchased them in February, and they have already blown. The sound quality is good, but for the price, the durability is disappointing. If you’re looking for speakers that will last, I’d suggest considering other options.
