When you put on a hiking boot there should be no slippage. This is a very nice boot. 8 inch uppers and very well made. It’s tight around my foot but not uncomfortable. Some hiking boots will wear you down after a while but I wore these boots all day for the first couple of days to break them in and they did not hurt my feet out wear me down at all. Great design with a very nice tread made to keep you from slipping and you do not have to worry about walking through a lot water. They shed the water just fine. They are insulated and keep your feet warm. I have been wearing these outside in 14 degrees with ice and snow for an hour or two at a time and my feet did not get cold at all. I recommend these boots to anyone that hikes out walls in a regular basis or even the individual that just wears there boots for normal weather reasons. The only negative detail is that on the left boot the tongue and eyelets are not straight down the boot. They angle slightly in but it surely isn’t anything that would deter me or make me send them back. These boots are well priced and will definitely suit your hiking or walking needs.
