I had existing thin wall PVC pipe and wanted to attach some new schedule 40 PVC pipe (which offers more options and lower cost at Lowe's & Home Depot). These adapters did what I needed them to do.

Exactly what was advertised, just could not make it work with my 100 year old waste water system.

The way I used this adapter was not how it was intended to be used im sure! But I used it to create a hole for cables to run through in my ceiling. I used the larger side with a piece of pvc in the attic and popped the smaller side through the drywall. Then clamped it to a 2x4 in the attic. Worked very well for my application. Posting a review in case anyone else is thinking of doing something similar. And yes the cables were cleaned up. The picture was taken during the initial cable running process

I have no idea why home improvement stores don't carry this but it was a much have for me connecting my downspout to a PVC pipe heading away from my home. 100% would buy again if I needed it.

Good quality PVC adapter that adapts a 3" schedule 30 PVC pipe (thin wall, 3.25" O.D.) to 3" schedule 40 PVC.
