Bought these for my old hard-tail mtn bike that I now use for riding on gravel roads. I had 8 flats in the past month, even with tire liners, and got tired of spending so much time changing out tubes and patching tubes. I've now ridden these tires on all the routes I was flatting on, and so far, no flats. These tires are heavy, but it's not about speed - I want something that won't flat. The sidewalls recommend 35-65 psi. I tried 40 psi for my first ride, and I was bouncing all over the road (I'm 200 lb on a Trek 850 steel mtn bike). For my next ride, I reduced the pressure to 35 psi in both front and back, and that seems to be a nice compromise. The gravel I ride on ranges from hard-packed and smooth, to sandy/mushy pea gravel, to larger chunky rocks. These tires are fine on all of them. I don't ride on muddy roads - the mud here is not nice, so I'm not concerned about their performance on wet terrain. My only complaint is that the front tire tread catches up the sandy pea gravel and throws it up and back, pinging regularly on my frame and occasionally even hitting my glasses and helmet - so I'll add a fender. Overall, I'm very pleased with these tires.

I recently restored my bike and used a pair of Schwinn hybrid replacement tires. However, they just kept getting flats from every little thing. After a few inner tubes and a bunch of patches, I realized I needed a different set. It's been about a month since I swapped for the Schwalbe tires, and I have not gotten a flat since. They were easy to install. They also feel great to ride on, they are sturdy and durable. Good traction, I can take high speed turns on pavement and go downhill on dirt with ease. No longer worried about getting flat. I will come back and change this review if I ever get a flat, but so far so great!

These are the best tires made

This tire is great. I have run it on low pressure and I couldnt even tell it needed air. I usually get snake bites when I have low pressure but this tire has a very thick sidewall. I was running it on 20 psi and it looked fine when I eyed it but when I checked it it was low. Any other tire I might get a flat. Great tire

Great traction, durable....BUT... a death struggle to get these to seat on the rims. Park tool tire pliers, tire mounting lube...OMG. Will look for another solution if these ever wear out.

This is my favorite tire because of its reliability. I have not had a car in ~30 years.

Ik had de Schwalbe Marathon Plus Tour besteld, maar ontving een Schwalbe Marathon 365. Deze band kon ik voor een goedkopere prijs ergens anders kopen en heeft bovendien niet hetzelfde niveau van bescherming tegen lekken. Erg jammer

I got a pair to replace tires that came with my son's Decathlon bike. The difference is staggering. Yes, Schwalbes are heavier. But for a reason. The tire offers a much smoother ride at the same pressure level due to a firmer sidewall. The tire has the automotive, or high end motorcycle tire, quality to it, unlike the original Decathlon or a typical Maxxis tires that, when inflated, have the balloon like look and feel to it. Rolling is better and so is handling on any surface. I have a pair of Schwalbe Big Apples on my 29er (it's a heavily customized 29er) that are 12 years old and done close 10K kilometers... on very mixed surfaces without a single incident. I'll replace them with Marathon Plus.

I went on a bike trip from Mallorca to Norway and back through Sweden to Denmark. Zero (as in ZERO) punctures in 3.5 months of nearly daily riding with heavily loaded panniers! This tire is a must for any touring bicyclist. A very smooth ride as well.

Überrascht wie gut sie sind! Halten gut am Asphalt. Ürsprunglich gegen Platten, haben sie mehrere gute Eingenschaften. Nachbar hat geholfen. Die Schläuche waren mein Hauptsorge. Nix da. Diese Reife wehren alles ab, brauche ich nicht an Schläuche zu denken. Viele Profil! Großartiger Kauf.
