I've also used these to clip plants to support stakes to keep them from falling over. I've clipped them into my wires shelves and hung items from them, like bags of seeds and twine. I've used them to clip my gloves to my pants so I don't have to go looking for them. They are solid heavy metal, they should last for ever, I think they are going to be in my greenhouse for a very long time.
