Too heavy for flight.
The main problem with this balsa kit is that it is too heavy to fly. West wings have designed this plane to be easy to build. To achieve this they provide two side panels as solid balsa rather than a built up frame. The tail and rudder are also solid balsa which also adds too much weight and making the plane tail heavy. If you start adding weights to the nose you get an even heavier plane. Anyone building this plane would be advised to not use a solid balsa tail and rudder but to build a framed tail. This would stop it being tail heavy and might make it light enough to fly.I had to use extra elastic bands to power the propeller to get it to fly.
