is this CL rated or certificated?

I had to go look this up as I had forgotten the designation. But CL rating for this cable is not for behind the wall if that is what you you are looking for. It is "NOT" CL rating 2 or 3 for behind the wall. It is only rated as a normal cable and certified what it is what is listed. CL with either a 2 or 3 suffix designates that the cable is intended for class-2 or class-3 circuits and can be run within walls of buildings or dwellings. Basically for fire rating. So these won't work for behind the wall. You can find them on here but look for fire rated or CL 2 or 3. will this cable work from my aspire lap top to my t.v.

The cable itself will work when plugged into both. It's what you do with it afterwards that matters. I'm going to guess that you want to project something from your computer to the tv that has nothing to do with TV shows, so maybe movies or youtube , something along those lines. Depending on you tv and your laptop and their capabilities, you can use mirroring or projection to your tv using either cabling or bluetooth. If you google your request, you can find the proper steps do that procedure. You can find it in Google under multicasting, mirroring or projection. Good luck.
