It is not a 20 inch strut. Only about 19.
I’m sure the struts are fine, but in my case I needed exactly 20 inches from pivot point to pivot point. The strut turned out to only be about 19.2 inches which would not allow my boat hatch door to open all the way. It has to open all the way to allow the ketch to engage. Another typical company giving false information. I guess for a hatch of a car or a truck. it probably is not a big deal, but for a boat it has to be just right.

They were 40 lb which I didn't realize as the ones they replaced were 25lb so not as easy to use.There was no instructions how to take apart and install. Fortunately it was understandable.
