Expensive Good Coffee
I like this brand Vietnamese coffee. The only problem is the price.

Bold, high-quality flavored nation-building coffee
I'm a big fan of coffee from Southeast Asia, so I was excited to try a new brand when this came up for review. The beans are packaged well, in a resealable bag that has a unique and thoughtful second airtight interlocking seal at the top I haven't seen before. The bag is substantial, holding 0.5kg, so even though the price is slightly higher than a typical 0.35kg bag, you're also getting a bit more product. Some other reviewers felt this was a lighter coffee than they expected from the espresso label, but to our tastes we thought this was plenty bold. We tried it prepared as a french press, espresso and pourover, and in all cases it was definitely a fairly intense flavor profile to our palate - but we tend to drink more boutique coffees with more subtle roasts than typical US coffee brands tend to prefer, so this was in line with our expectations. The branding on the bag is a bit over the top - it declares this to be "the energy coffee, the mindful coffee, the nation-building coffee". I don't know how a bag of espresso-roast beans can be nation-building, but I wish them luck! I'm not sure this sticks in my brain as a particularly unique blend of beans that we'll seek out specifically, but the quality is certainly comparable with other mainstream specialty coffees. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again if I was in the mood, and I may try some of the other flavors that Trung Nguyรชn offers; they seem to specialize in instant coffees, and if the coffee quality is comparable to these whole beans, that could be a great addition to my travel routine.

Nice lighter looking roast
I'll admit that I am not a coffee expert, but I enjoy the taste of this coffee. Its manufactured in Vietnam and appears to be a lighter roast compared to the usual beans I use. It has a mild taste but seems to pack a good amount of caffine as I feel a bit more wired with my morning cup compared to my usual coffee. It isn't the tastiest coffee I've had, but also wasn't the worst. If you're looking to try something different this is affordable and worth at least giving it a try. It might be your next favorite.

For an "espresso" this wasn't particularly dark or strong
I grinded this coffee up hoping to get a real good experience out of this "espresso" roast. Sadly, it just didn't have the dark, bold flavor I was hoping for. It's a fine cup of coffee, but if you're looking for something dark and brooding, this ain't it, chief! I was really hoping Trung Nguyen could pull off a quality contender for a strong, dark roast but this espresso was pretty mild overall. Not terrible, but not great.

Underrated robusta
Trung Nguyen Espresso Whole Bean Coffee - Arabica & Robusta is very good. I do with it was simply robusta and not a blend, as one of the reasons we buy Vietnamese coffee is to get a good Robusta. Robusta is underrated in my opinion. Still, the blend is very good, dark and smooth, not bitter. The beans were well roasted, evenly sized, not broken. A really good espresso

Very Good Vietnamese Coffee
These beans make very good coffee. Trung Nguyen is the biggest coffee brand in Vietnam. Robusta beans give this coffee blend a bold & strong flavor โ it is not sweet. It has notes of nuts & cocoa powder โ a pleasant, bitter taste. This is a coffee blend for those who like a good, strong espresso. I really like this with hot/foamed milk.

Smooth and low acidity
This blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans made a delicious cup of coffee that I felt was very strong and bold. There was a minimal acidic aftertaste, which I prefer and was very smooth and rich. The bag has a resealable strip and will last me about a month as I only drink coffee once per day. For the price ($19.95 at the time of writing), I think this bag of coffee beans is fairly reasonable as Nguyen Coffee Supply, which is another coffee supplier that specializes in Vietnamese coffee beans, charges about the same.

Amazing aroma and intense flavor, best espresso yet!
Oh my, this coffee was so aromatic. I could smell the chocolate out of the bag. And it tastes wonderful. Made espresso with it for 2 weeks now, and my drinks never tasted better. Rich and intense flavor.
