Love it! Originally I purchased one the 15 note tongue drum for my grandchild but ended up buying one for myself too. In addition to the carrying case, it came with a book that included basic "how to" instructions as well as some very easy to play songs to help start you on your musical journey. The "notes" are numbered on the drum & in the book so you don't need to "read" music to successfully play songs and makes it easier to create/write your own songs. However, I do wish I knew what notes are actually on the drum. It produces a very relaxing tone & is pleasant to listen to. I am so glad I purchased it.

Absolutely worth the buy! Fabulous quality and tone! I got it as a gift for someone who is dyslexic and cannot read music, and does not feel they are musically enabled, but wants to be so badly. They were literally playing recognizable tunes within minutes, following the instructions and music book included. It was an incredible experience to see them light up when they realized there really is something out there they can make BEAUTIFUL music with!

After some research, this delivered the healing sound I wanted. Excellent quality. Decent size. Mallets make it loud and after some hang flinging with the tips of your fingers, you can get the sound to ring true with touch. Super fun to learn. I learned my first couple songs in an hour and took off from there. I absolutely love it. It's great for anxiety and calming down. It's incredible. Wish got one year ago and wish I learned several years ago.

Like others have said, most of the notes sound pretty solid, but as you go up the scale, the higher notes don't resonate as well. I think this has less to do with tuning and moreso how big the tongues on the higher notes are, they don't have much leeway to vibrate, and hitting the sweet spot is a necessity at that range. This isn't bad to start, but I would probably pick up a bigger drum in the future. The included sticks help, but the finger pads take a lot to get used to. If you can play by ear, you'll be able to find your notes pretty easily. If you can't, the included guide book is okay, but it would be better if the notes weren't listed as numbers but, you know, actual notes. This might work for someone just starting, but if you're used to reading sheet music, it's a little irksome, but not world-ending. The included carrying case, on the other hand, feels CHEAP, and not in a good way! The padding is thin, the strap feels weak, and I don't trust the metal connectors, hence the 4 stars. For now it's better than nothing, but I will most likely find a different case to take it around in .

This is a beautiful drum at an excellent price. The pitch is dead on and the tones resonate beautifully. I expect the comments about poor tone are more about the user striking the notes incorrectly. You have to find the "sweet spot" on any instrument like this. Highly recommend!

Very heavy and sturdy. Has a beautiful sound as long as you don't beat on it to hard. I gave this to my Dad. He loves it!

This is a GREAT drum, and the price dropped which pushed me to buy it when I did. I don't have any comparisons to any major label drums, but this is a solid build. It sounds amazing and came with everything including a convenient case. I got this for my toddler who isn't yet two, but they enjoy the sound and as they are learning numbers, I can throw nuber combinations at him to try to repeat and play. I enjoy playing it too....the sounds are just infinite and it really does FEEL good. It's built to last and I don't see any issue with having this around for a long time. I would recommend this for anybody looking for something like this. There is no need to spend twice as much for something else.

For the price, this is a great tongue drum. Once you learn the art of playing it, it sounds beautiful and relaxing. The small tongues like to be played on a different spot on the tongues than the large ones do, and with a different strike. Once I read the instruction manual and the FAQs, I have really enjoyed playing it. The birds like to sing along too, which I appreciate. I've never really played an instrument and this is easy to learn. I've only had it 2 weeks and can play several songs. Now I've had the tongue drum for 2 months and it's so fun and therapeutic. It's an easy way to unplug and have fun. We've had some stressful events lately and this a great little "retreat".

Sounds really nice but I think the mallets are a little heavy to get a good sound out of the highest 3 notes, they just don't rebound fast enough not to mute the note as you play it. Maybe with practice I can get it to sound right without using different mallets. It's quite loud compared to the small drums, seems good quality. Overall, I like it

Sa légèreté et son petit diamètre facilite la position pour jouer. La sonorité est appréciable pour tous débutants. Il est facile de pratiquer régulièrement. Comme premier instrument de percussion, j’adore. En plus c’est un bel objet qui le rend plus accessible pour la pratique. Il n’a pas besoin d’être dans son enveloppe. La livraison fut rapide avec un emballage le protégeant adéquatement. Jouer avec les baguettes ou les doigts ajoutent des sonorités diverses. Les voisins de mon appartement ne sont pas dérangés par les sons. C’est très zen.

Il est parfait. C'est trop cool de jouer. Solide. Beau. Beau son. Ce sera des heures et heures d'entraînement. Le son est beau. Il vient avec un petit cahier (en anglais) avec les indications comment jouer et des mélodies par numéro (qui sont collés sur les surfaces de l'instrument).

El hanpan llegó muy bien y a tiempo, y el vendedor contestó muy amable y claro a mis preguntas, es un instrumento musical muy divertido y creativo tocar en él. Gracias!
