Good points: The product is exceptional, great fit between the press filter and the glass, quality components, thick glass, clever design with the stainless feet lifting the glass off the surface to minimise heat loss to conduction. All great and a bargain at £11. Bad point: Unfortunately some genius at Bodum decided to design the product information booklet to be round and a tight fit to the inside of the beaker, so that when it is french pressed into the bottom, it is virtually impossible to get out.

I bought this coffee maker as a gift, and it's fantastic. The glass is strong, it keeps coffee hot for a long time, and it's very easy to use. My husband is really happy with it!

Good product, works as expected. However, the threaded end cap on the plunger is made of plastic, and I don't really want plastic coming into contact with hot liquid that I intend to drink. I'm trying to reduce microplastics and chemicals from cookware leaching into my diet. The older model, also made by Bodum, had an all metal filter assembly, including the threaded end cap. I don't like this design change, but I couldn't find an all metal version. The lid of both the old and new version is also plastic, but that doesn't come into contact with the hot liquid, so that's fine, while also providing necessary insulation so you don't burn your hand. It's the plastic threaded end cap on the plunger that submerges into the coffee that I object to, and so loses a star for that reason. I know it's only a small area, but I'm tyring to reduce plastic contact with food wherever I can.

after purchasing 2 individual Cafeterias that both proved to be faulty I decided to go for the Bodum. Success at last, this is a quality product compared with my previous purchases. Excellent in every way

Really good little cafetiere. It says it makes three cups but really it's one big mug or two smaller cups.

Okay- not great. Prior to this I was using IKEAs which broke and I decided to try this. Some issues I found with this: 1. The glass is separable- now while that’s good, it also sometimes comes out while pouring coffee. Plus, with regular use, it now sits losely in the holder which makes it difficult to use. 2. The entire casing (including the plastic) becomes super hot- this wasn’t the case with IKEA one. 3. Design- the holder has a handle which has some non-plastic material. Not sure why they chose to add non-plastic as it becomes super hot and one can’t hold the handle itself for pouring.

Does the job. It’s sturdy!

Good value. All we actually needed was the glass following an accident to our own Bodum Cafetière bought 40 years ago. The price of this complete item was competitive with any seller of the single glass. Well done!

Esta versión con el vaso de vidrio y el filtro de oruga y rejilla de metal es insuperable. Compré 2 ya qué es raro verlas en stock para México. Había comprado la versión de bodum de vaso y filtro de plástico porque era la única disponible y no me duraron más de un año, la verdad dejaron mucho qué desear. Sin duda esta versión más premium es la efectiva, cuiden mucho el vaso ya qué es frágil, el filtro es fácil de lavar y el plástico de la tapa incluso es más grueso qué la versión económica. Me da gusto volver a tener un producto de calidad como este.

I really like this bodum coffee pot because I don't have to but those expensive K cups. I can make a cup of coffee or several cups. I make my coffee any way I want. I drink serval cups of coffee per day. One small bag of coffee cost $9.00. That will last over a month.

Wir haben mehrere Kannen von Bodum. Alle sind perfekt und das über Jahrzehnte. Diese Kanne haben wir nun zweifach. Eine geht mit in Urlaub. Wir haben uns bewusst für dieses Modell entschieden, da man sie ohne Probleme in der Spülmaschine reinigen kann. Wir hatten noch nie einen Glasbruch durch Termperaturunterschiede. Wenn, dann durch fallen lassen. Sogar Ersatzteile bekommt man. Ich habe einmal die Schraube gebraucht, die das Filtersystem zusammenhält (wie gesagt, Nutzung über Jahrzehnte). Die Kanne ist jeden Euro wert und ich bin sicher, dass auch diese uns wieder über viele Jahre Freude machen wird. Übrigens, man sollte die Anleitung der Zubereitung wirklich beachten. Ich war da auch immer zu ungeduldig und habe gleich nach dem Aufgießen den Stempel hinunter gedrückt. Wenn man aber 4 Minuten wartet vor dem Runterdrücken schmeckt der Kaffee noch besser. Steht auf der Packung. Der Mahlgrad des Kaffees sollte grob sein. Wasser nicht mehr kochend. So zubereitet schlägt der Kaffee aus der French Press meiner Meinung nach jeden Kaffee aus einem Automaten. Von einer normalen Kaffeemaschine rede ich erst gar nicht. Hinzu kommt, dass der Kaffee aus einer French Press um ein Vielfaches günstiger ist als aus dem Vollautomaten.
