Compared against my favorite handlebar tape, I'd give this 4 stars.This tape is very strong, and I couldn't break it, even on purpose. Except for the transition point between colors, which I did accidentally pull apart after struggling too much (it was my first time taping handlebars). But this is only a concern with the two-tone (not just accent color). The color transition is right where most shifters are, so be careful to not to pull too tight with your "figure 8" wrapping technique, or whatever technique prefer.The included finishing tape is very nice, and matches the rest of the design. And the end caps do not match the tape's color EXACTLY. But that's nitpicky.Another tip: put the darker color where you grip your bars the most. The vibrant colors get soiled easily from regular use, and aggressive cleaning will also remove some of the color.The tape isn't as soft as a foam tape, but the rubber makes it much more grippy.I used this tape for 2 years, and rode over 2,000 km with it. It was still good, but fraying.
