Lightweight, lacks umph. Handle too thin for large hands.
I knew the end wasn’t real leather, but I thought it would be firmer, more rigid. Instead it is flexible. The end makes a loop and the sound of the loop makes a loud slapping sound, but it doesn’t deliver very much energy. This is good as a noise maker and for beginners but it won’t have much impact on a more experienced “filly.” The handle is too thin for large hands, it could be a little thicker. I will keep it and use it on beginners and for the sound, but the search for the perfect slapper continues.

Looks great, doesn't sting
Visually this product, it's very well made and pretty. The reviews are correct. It is quite loud upon striking more so than other toys. However, it does not offer any pain on impact, not even for beginners.I guess it is good as a stimulation toy, but not for real impact play.
