Review: Battle ready. - Opening this package, I found a heavy duty contraption from the olden times. Inside are detailed instructions on assembly, use, and maintenance, all of which are easy to follow. It becomes clear as soon as you open the package that they obviously care about their product and have built it to last. Use: After washing some laundry by hand, I took an article of clothing out, dripping wet, and fed it though the wringer. I adjusted the tension knob on top, the thing worked perfectly, leaving the article feeling as if, if not less damp than if it just came out of the spin cycle of a washing machine. (remember to use the wedge which is included in the package for the drip ramp to stay properly oriented.) Overall thoughts: outside of the above mentioned, I wasn't looking to spend as much as I did on this but I can't argue against its value and feel like, for what you are getting, the price is fair. I'll be using this a few times a week and after some time has passed, I will make an update to this. (10/8/21) 6 months in (4/3/22): I still like it. I live in a small apartment with no laundry facilities and I hate going to public coin operated facilities. The wringer has allowed for me to do my laundry since my first review and saved me it's equivalent cost in running coin machines. Cons: it should not be used with items which have buttons or zippers. I still run small buttons through, but I make sure they are flat and reduce the tension on the rollers to prevent damage. I've also noticed it has a difficult time with thin items, like summer pajama pants, where I have to crank the tension knob down to get enough pressure but thankfully thin items usually dry faster anyway so I don't fuss to much with this. **Q: does this wringer have a drip ramp on both sides of rollers for water to run back into tub?**
A: Yes! The tilt plate can tilt either direction depending on which way you'd like to run the water and is easily switched back and forth.

**Q: Is the wringer hard to turn when wringing a chamois?**
A: It's really easy to turn with small items like chamois. It also depends on how tight you adjust the rollers to be.

**Q: The handle on the unit appears far too long.  Does this create a tendency for the unit to tip over on the handle side when wringing?**
A: The wringer is very heavy duty and weighs a lot and easily tips over if it's not clamped on to a sturdy surface. But I don't know why anyone would ever use it when it's not clamped to something.. It's extremely sturdy and solid when clamped on to something properly.

Opening this package, I found a heavy duty contraption from the olden times. Inside are detailed instructions on assembly, use, and maintenance, all of which are easy to follow. It becomes clear as soon as you open the package that they obviously care about their product and have built it to last. Use: After washing some laundry by hand, I took an article of clothing out, dripping wet, and fed it though the wringer. I adjusted the tension knob on top, the thing worked perfectly, leaving the article feeling as if, if not less damp than if it just came out of the spin cycle of a washing machine. (remember to use the wedge which is included in the package for the drip ramp to stay properly oriented.) Overall thoughts: outside of the above mentioned, I wasn't looking to spend as much as I did on this but I can't argue against its value and feel like, for what you are getting, the price is fair. I'll be using this a few times a week and after some time has passed, I will make an update to this. (10/8/21) 6 months in (4/3/22): I still like it. Wie gewohnt, super - schnelle Lieferung, diesmal über Amazon.com. Nach langem suchen und überlegen von Alternativen (Wischmopschleuder, 2 Eimer ineinander, etc.) doch noch eine Lösung wie früher gefunden. Leider findet man solche Handwringer in Deutschland nur noch auf Flohmärkten o. dergl. , wenn überhaupt, und es stellt sich mir die Frage warum eigentlich ? Ich bin sehr froh über diesen, der Zusammenbau ist einfach und schnell erledigt, zudem mit versch. Möglichkeiten ihn zu befestigen und mit Wasserablaufbrett (weniger Verlust von Waschwasser, je nachdem wie man wäscht). Und er macht seinen Job, so wie er soll, ja es macht richtig Spass, besonders da die Kurbel sehr leichtgängig ist. Meine Wäsche besteht aus T-Shirts, Pullis, Jeans, Socken, Handtücher, etc.. Bei Jeans oder Sachen mit Reissverschluss habe ich es weiter eingestellt, da bleibt mehr Wasser, aber dass ist meiner Vorsicht geschuldet. Der Rest wird sehr gut trocken. Natürlich nicht wie in einer elektrischen Wäscheschleuder, aber das ist ja auch kein passender Vergleich. Er macht die Kleidung so trocken, dass man sie dann gut draussen oder innen aufhängen kann und sie nicht ewig braucht um zu trocknen. Ich finde es super ein "altbekanntes" geniales Teil so neu kaufen zu können (was heute auch noch viele Homsteader in den USA verwenden). Ohne Strom, ohne Schmerzen in den Gelenken, ja ich bin ganz glücklich - ein weiteres Stück Unabhängigkeit. Über die Haltbarkeit kann ich noch nichts sagen, aber es macht einen sehr stabilen Eindruck.
