There is so much food! It comes with five baskets, sticker labels for red, green, orange, yellow, and purple foods as well as fruits, vegetables, and protein. My 2yr old loves cutting through the Velcro and leaving the food in pieces, but also loves throwing all the random pieces in the shopping basket and walking around like she’s at the store. I will say, some of the foods come in more than two pieces. For instance, the corn is made up of two half pieces of corn and three individual husks/leaves that Velcro to the outside. The crab is made up of two halves of the crab body and one Velcro piece that acts as the shell on top. The egg has two halves as the egg itself and two halves for the shell. I did not pay attention to the age when I purchased, but can see why it says 3+. I try to be diligent and pick up pieces as she plays so nothing gets lost. The quality is awesome, colors are vibrant, and they look fairly realistic - making it more fun for her to play.

​I bought this JOYIN play food set for my daughter toy kitchen, and it has been such a hit. She loves to pretend she's making big meals for the whole family. ​The best part is the Velcro on the vegetables. It’s very strong, so it makes a great "crunch" sound when she uses her play knife to separate them. The plastic is thick and durable, which is important because she plays with these every single day. The colors are bright and look just like real food. ​The only small thing is that the velcro can pick up some lint or hair if the pieces roll under the furniture. I just have to give them a quick wipe every now and then to keep them sticking perfectly. Overall, it's a great value and holds up really well for toddlers!

This is the coolest play food set for kids. Super detailed! Realistic! I love that the banana peels and the egg opens and the insides have detailed seeds painted on and the carapace comes off the crab etc. It seems durable but we just got it. We shall see. No choking hazards. It’s plastic. I got it for my 2-yr-old and my 8-yr-old is playing with it too. They both like it.

These are amazing! My 2-year-old twins fight over these daily - they love cutting up the fruit and veggies! It's also great for education and vocabulary. Highly recommend!
