However, I repurposed a cylindrical wine cooler bag to make a 'cosy' for the jar. That, together with making sure the food is absolutely piping hot, and pre-heating the jar with boiling water, gets me comfortably to the mid afternoon with hot food. I got the bigger size, because I wasn't sure the smaller one would hold a full meal. It's actually really capacious, if I fill it with soup or stew it is more than I can eat in one meal, so most days it's only half full.
