This garlic storage jar is a good size to hold several bulbs of garlic. It's not too big and so doesn't take up too much space on the work surface. If you have large hands it might be a little difficult to get the garlic out, but simply by picking it up and tipping it enables you to get the garlic out easily. The top isn't tight, but doesn't need to be as it's not intended to be airtight - let's face it, there are air holes, and cute ones at that, in the lower section. I would thoroughly recommend this, especially if you don't have a lot of room for storage jars on your work surfaces.
