- ER4043 Commonly referred to as “AlSi5", has a 5% silicon and is the oldest and one of the most widely used aluminum welding wires for general purpose applications.
- Shielding Gas Required Usually 100% Argon, Helium or mix.
- Excellent Welding Performance The silicon additions result in improved fluidity to make the alloy a preferred choice by welders. Less sensitive to weld cracking and produces brighter.
- Multiple Usage Welding Wire ER4043 can use where base metal require thermal treatment. It also can be used on weld forge and casting materials.
- Applications It can be used to weld various grades of aluminum, 3003, 3004, 5052, 6061, 6063, and casing alloys 43, 355, 356, and 214.
