I love everything about this compost bin! The design is gorgeous, very well made, I love the size, the built in odor control. It’s very easy to use and take care of and maintain and clean. And the eco friendly bags it comes with, first off you get many of them which is awesome! But also love that they are eco friendly. I have been composting and I’m super excited to be on this new journey and thanks to Espare for creating all I needed to make my compost journey in helping our planet a great experience! Highly recommend!

Edited 10/28/23 Excellent Customer Service! Easy to Clean, Capacity good for Small Family. Good Appearance. Container is good quality. I like that container has an Inner made of Hard plastic, so is easy to wash out. That will enable longevity of the metal container. I wanted to hang it from my cabinet doors, drawers or attach to the wall, but could only use on top of Counter because Black Attachment Knobs & Holes DO NOT Align for "Hanging." Even tried using the Adhesive to attach the container to the wall, but container repeatedly fell off the wall even when empty. So I must use the Compost Container on the kitchen counter which was my last choice. One of the Videos does indicate that another customer also had same difficulty with attaching the Black Hanging bracket to the container, but they quickly switched to Counter. (Holes do not align) So I conclude that other videos use the container on Counter because of Defective Black Hanging bracket caused by misaligned knobs & Holes. Decided to keep it because too busy to return it. I do use the Compost bin, but am disappointed. Feel that because Compost container does Not Hang on cabinets nor stay attached to the wall as advertised seems to be defective product or False advertising. Appearance is good, Size is good, but still takes up Counter space. I preferred Counter free of container. BUT EPARE CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS APPARENTLY REFUNDED WHOLE $$ AMOUNT TO MY AMAZON CARD PER EMAIL I RECEIVED.

Very convenient and exactly what I needed.

The bin feels really well made and is the right size for attaching inside of a cabinet door. It holds the right amount of food to get you through a day or two, but not so much that you are going to have a lot of stuff composting in your kitchen. One of the nicest things is that it comes with a lot of bags which is nice. Normally, it seems like things come with one or two bags then forces you to buy refills. Having a whole role was a really nice surprise. For my needs, this bin is the perfect size. My kids really enjoyed adding food scraps to this after meals and it was a great way to teach them about composting and biodegradability. Overall, I am very happy with this item and would recommend it to anyone looking for a compost bin.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: The compartment that hold the carbon filters will not stay closed and they fall into the garbage. Also they appear to be ineffective at masking the smell causing fruit flies to swarm.

Very convenient way to store compost right on my countertop. There is a baking soda deodorizer in the lid so I can easily keep compost countertop for a week before it goes into a larger collection bin. It has a tight seal and I did not get any fruit flies and it looks attractive in my kitchen space.

I do really like this bin except it still attracts fruit flies, even when using compostable bags. It seems to seal properly, so I don't know why it happens, but other reviews have claimed the same. Still better than tossing food in the regular trash bin. This way I can remove this smaller bag to the outdoor bin every day or two, instead of waiting for the larger bag to go out.

The bin is well made and holds a good amount of scraps in the bag. I inquired from their customer support if the bags were compostable, but haven't received a reply. I wanted to use the hanger on my cabinet door under the kitchen sink, but the door wouldn't close all the way, so I have it sitting on the back of the kitchen sink. (I don't have a place to use the wall hanger.) The filter in the lid works well as there is no odor even when the bag is full.

I've got to say, this is exactly the compost bin I've been looking for for a while. I do not have that much counter space in my kitchen and have a lot of stuff already. With this sturdy and compact bin that I mounted inside the cabinet door under the sink, it's not a problem anymore. It's smartly designed so that the lid hinge works both ways. You can open it from the front or the back, which makes it work flawlessly when mounted to a door, since it never hits the door as the hinge can be pulled forwards. It's also super convenient for when you want to take out the bag which sits inside a removable bin that helps with transport. The 3M tape to stick it on the door also holds perfectly so far. The small space to put a carbon filter is nice, though it would have been appreciated to put one in the box. Instead we just get a silica gel pouch, which won't help with odors. The roll of 50 included compost bags is also great, though it's not easy to tell if they really are compostable. Let's hope they are. Honestly, even if it's not technically perfect in every way, value-wise it's more than great, and it fills a need I've had for a while that my previous bins couldn't fill.

I’m pleasantly surprised that this compost bin fits nicely underneath my sink with the included hanger. This little bin is very handy and it’s solid. The lid contains a charcoal filter to cut down on the smell of items you want to compost and the lid shuts tightly, so that helps too. They provide 50 compost bags with this, although I doubt our local compost pick up will accept these. Also, they’re sort of difficult to get apart to put into the bin – I ripped a few trying to make that work. However, removing the inner lining to insert the bag is really easy due to the fact that the lid can be extended upward so the liner can be removed and replaced. If you don’t want to put the hanger over a cupboard door to hold this bin inside the cupboard, it also comes with another hanger which has adhesive. I didn’t use this and have no idea if it will hold weight and how much. This is a nice alternative to the compost bin they sell through our municipal offices. It’s a little bit smaller but not enough to make a difference. It’s really convenient to have so I’m pretty pleased with this.

I'm a renter, and my place is suppose to come with a small plastic pail for food scraps and other compostables. I don't have one, so I ordered this bin thinking it'd be...a cheap plastic pail. I was wrong - this is a well designed, solid, very usable product I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Packed in Styrofoam (please recycle) to prevent any chance of damage, the bin has everything inside also nicely wrapped to prevent damage. The top and sides are a solid metal construction painted in a pleasant colour that works in my kitchen - I don't have to hide it under the sink. The remainder is a durable plastic, easy to wash. The instructions are visuals only (on top of the packing - don't lose it when you open the box) and not completely clear...but adequate to explain what to do. The lid is double-hinged. To deposit items, you can easily flip open the lid with one hand, but there's also a small rubber flap you can grasp between two fingers if that is easier. Very nice touch! There is no seal or gasket with the lid, but I don't think odor will be an issue. Inside is a plastic pail with a couple of small handles for easy removal. To remove the pail, simply open the lid the reverse way, and lift the pail out. You can use a pail liner if you prefer to keep the pail clean, but check with your municipality to confirm they allow liners. This bin ships with 50! For me, that's enough for 2 years. Using a liner isn't necessary though; the plastic pail will wash up nicely after being emptied into a collection bin. Perhaps the plastic pail will absorb odors without a liner? These folks thought of that - there's a place inside the lid for an optional carbon filter to absorb odors. The bin did not come with a filter, probably because it's not needed to manage odors for many people. I'm not sure where I'd find the right sized filter? You can place this on a counter and it wouldn't look out of place - looks more like a mis-sized bread box than a refuse bin. But you can also mount this with one of two included mounts. It comes with a plastic over-the-door mount, convenient for under the sink. It's a hair thick and the black might stand out against your cabinet door. So they also include a 3M foam sticker mount so you can mount it...anywhere. Very large sticker should hold when mounted to most flat surfaces. Mine is on the counter for now while I see if odors are an issue. (Just a note on the door mount - it's designed to easily lift the bin off the mount but means it's not the most secure. The sticker mount attaches quite firmly to the bin.) I have about 50 paper bags I've been hoarding to use for food scraps. Now I get to recycle them - this pail is what everyone should be using. And for the price, you can get two.

I'm the first real customer after all vine customers lol price is awesome for the product. I didn't realize it was coming with garbage bags. I love how it has a bucket inside which is a bonus. I can just take the bucket out wash it.

When I picked this up it was an amazing value. Includes bags 50 bags which is a great addition. Beautiful Champagne Gold looks great in the kitchen. There is an internal bin and a charcoal filter to help with the smell. Also includes attachments to hang this on a cabinet door. If it's every back in stock I would highly suggest picking one up.
