Owala Smoothsip Insulated Coffee Tumbler

So much prettier than shown! The lid pulls off nicely. I can take it off one handed, but it fits tightly so no leakage. I fill to the top with my coffee in the morning before work and it's still hot by mid day. This smoothsip cup fits nicely in my car cup holder... and no splash outs driving over bumps. It's not slippery to hold, which is a huge plus, since there is no handle on it. The sip hole is the perfect size. Not too big so you don't get a big swallow of hot coffee. But the right size to enjoy what your drinking. Went to a kids event on a hot 90 degree day. The ice kept my water nice and cold for the several hours I was there in the sun. Very impressed with the quality and the durability. Was delivered as promised and very well packaged. Would purchase again!

I come to you as a humble coffee lover, but more specifically, a black Americano stan. I make one for myself every morning with my Aeropress. It's what I desire most in this world once I become conscious and forced to roll out of bed and be a human again. When traveling on road trips or what have you, I bring along my Aeropress and a Jet Boil for the water. Finding the exact right vessel to press the espresso into has been a challenge. Sure, I could use a regular coffee cup from my house, but that's not as fun, and the coffee gets cold before I finish it when temps are low. Plus, I take my reusable cup into coffee shops for americanos to try my best to not feed the landfill. With the latter scenario, the 10 oz Hydroflask insulated tumbler works just fine, although your americano will be too hot to sip for about an hour. However, the 10 oz Hydroflask does not work for the Aeropress, as the mouth is too narrow and the espresso dribbles down the sides. I was so delighted when I saw my favorite water tumbler brand, Owala, with their own 10 oz coffee insulated tumbler. I looked up the measurements, went to measure the Aeropress, verified the mouth of the Owala is wide enough for the Aeropress to sit perfectly on top, and ordered the cactus green. It is perfect and I love the color. Two bonuses: The smooth sip is like a little cradle for your lips, which I didn't know I needed and it's delightful to have; and you can actually drink the hot coffee right away because the coffee doesn't stay at just-shy-of-boiling temperature. I have found myself looking for reasons to use the Owala instead of my favorite coffee mugs while having that morning cup. In summary: The 10 oz Owala SmoothSip Coffee Tumbler is THE best option for one cup of coffee, Aeropress, americanos, travel, camping, and to take with you into coffee shops to help eliminate waste from all those darn single-use coffee cups.

My favorite to go mug. Keeps my coffee hot for a long time. Easy to clean. It's a sturdy cup and easy to hold. I would buy this cup again. Its not spill proof, but it doesnt leak at all. I got my husband one too and it's his new favorite also.

I got this to replace a 10oz yeti rambler I got as a gift years ago and I’m happy with the switch. Biggest difference is the heat leakage of the owala. The yeti’s lid is flush to the insulated lip of the cup while the owala has a taller lid for a curved mouth piece. For me this is actually a benefit. In the mornings, the yeti is actually a little too good at containing heat from my coffee. The only way to vent heat is by its small mouth opening or taking the lid off entirely which isn’t really possible for a commute. I find myself waiting at least 30-45mins to enjoy my coffee. I rather warm my hands in the morning and drink my coffee a bit earlier than have the better insulation from yeti. Maybe you want to keep your 10oz of drink hot for 6+ hours, but I don’t really see the need for that. Now I’m not saying it isn’t great at insulation; it’s still a dual vacuum walled cup with a thick plastic lid, but some heat does seep at that interface. The second praise to owala is the form factor. It’s very ergonomic to hold. My hands are about medium size for a male, and the yeti was just a little too big for me. I can hold it fine but it felt comically large to me. It also doesn’t fit snuggly in my car’s cup holder while the owala fits perfectly. It’s perfect for taking it to school or work and feels good to hold in the hand. The mouth piece is indeed splash resistant. I don’t fill it so much (about 3/4s usually) but I can drink hot coffee on a commute without fear of hurting myself. This is thanks to the curved mouth piece; it acts to control the flow coming out and allows you to make a good seal with your lips. The yeti’s magslide is a great system (especially to clean), but I would never drink from it in a moving car. Its opening is, well open, so fluid is free to come out and not ergonomic to create a lip seal.

Owala bottle is very nice! However it does not have the closer on the top , so it will leak in tipped. However the bottle itself is lovely! Can be used for hot or cold! I prefer it for cold myself! It’s a bit big for coffee in my personal opinion. Only gave 4 stars because it has no closer/seal button on top like other Owala bottles I have.

I love, love, love this Owala coffee tumbler! I have it in two colors, the cactus green and the white. I use one for my hot coffee and one for my water every day. Pro; the colors are gorgeous, the size is just right for that hearty morning coffee, it keeps my coffee HOT with a powder creamer I use for about two hours. It keeps my water without ice COLD for about four hours. Of course, it depends on the temperature inside/outside too. The tumbler hasn’t gotten scratched or dented despite falling off the coffee table onto a hardwood floor. It is so easy to clean due to the wide opening. I suggest using either a sponge end or silicone end cleaner as the inside is stainless steel and it keeps it looking nice. Lastly.. the lid is the most wonderful material, quality made with a ‘sippy cup’ style opening to drink from. There is a tiny air hole on the cover which does not leak, neither one of my coffee/water tumblers leak for that matter, lid is not screwed on but pushed down. It is very easy to care for with no extra parts to clean besides the tumbler and cover. Con; The only improvement that I can see this coffee/water tumbler could use is the wonderful and much loved lid to have a way to close up the drinking opening. Perhaps a silicone stopper attached to the tumblers? Thank you Owala for making this product and thank you Amazon for selling it!

My wife purchased the 20 oz as a gift for me, and it has become my favorite mug. The lid is an example of exceptional design. The drinking opening is different from anything I have ever experienced. It feels great to drink from, which isn't something you would normally say about a beverage cup. But your lips seal naturally against the opening, and the coffee flow is perfect. It is difficult to describe, but once you try it you will understand. The cup has also proven to be very durable; especially the coating. I don't know what kind of paint they use, but it is highly resistant to chips and scratches. It is also slightly textured, which helps keep a solid grip and prevents slipping out of your hand. The outside of the cup is comfortable to hold, no matter how hot the liquid inside is. The plastic lid has a silicone seal on it that has been extremely durable; I've had no leaks from the seal and theid remains right on the cup. The cup is very well insulated and keeps coffee warm for several hours. I have not tried it with cold drinks, but I can easily believe fother reviewers' claims of several hours. The lid does not have a cap, so it is possible to splash liquid out of it, but the opening of the lid isn't simply a hole; it is a shaped channel, similar to a short straw. So, while it is possible to shake liquid out, it doesn't happen as easily as kids with just an open hole. Overall, the 20 oz version of this cup has performed wonderfully and is my go-to daily cup for drinking my morning coffee at home.

Love the simplicity of this cup. I keeps coffee hot long enough, although not as long as others I have had. but the ease of cleaning makes up the difference
