Q: Is this product safe for wool rugs/carpets?

It's supposed to be. BUT I would try it on a small inconspicuous area to be sure. I have antique Karistan wool rugs and have been tempted to try it but haven't done so. Sorry

Yes you can. And it works very well

Q: Does it bleach your carpet?

It doesn't bleach my carpet, but you have to steam clean carpet after applying.
