If you don't produce DAO on your own (not too rare a condition, unfortunately), this enzyme helps a lot.(I found out from my Nutrition Genome test that I lack the genetics to produce my own DAO).My allergies (mold, dust, chicken, mango) were making me sick, and with each episode of reaction, my body couldn't metabolize all the histamine I'd made! So I'd just get sicker, now dealing with histamine overload.I know that there are people even more sensitive, who cannot eat certain histamine heavy foods. And this might help them as well. Check with a really good Functional Health expert.It was my wonderful San Mateo based chiropractor who told me about this supplement. It is NO WAY the cheapest DAO enzyme available, but it works! I reduced my allergic episodes from about 5 or 6 a year, to about 1 a year. And, I have to say, since I've been on this one (and I forget to take it every day), I was sick only once, and it lasted a mere 2 days instead of the usual debilitating 10. Love it.

Received in April. I used other product first, decided to give it a try today but the item was already open despite having a seal on the outside. I am not sure if the product has been tampered with and I’m concerned about purchasing anything else from this brand again.

Have struggled for years with histamine intolerance. After trying so many supplements this for me is the best to use when the meal has slightly higher levels of histamine than I would normally tolerate .
