I always have the problem of my quinoa or other small grain getting stuck in the edges...** A: Yes, some grains will get stuck, but I just use my hands to push the mesh away from the "lip" while running it under water, to get those grains out before washing with soapy sponge or putting in dishwasher. Worked for me with all fine-mesh strainers in the past as well. Hope that helps. **Q: are they good for straining tea** A: Maybe, depends on your tea. If it is loose leave tea that isn't too dry then these should work fine. It is fine dry tea with fine particles then these may have too large of openings. These measured 23 opening per inch while my old little ball shaped tea strainer is 47 openings per inch and much finer. **Q: will they effectively strain pasta and support the weight of the noodles?** A: We have done 8oz of pene pasta in the largest strainer with no problems. The most weight I have had in the largest strainer was 3 cans of garbonzo beans at one time.
