When we adopted our dog, she had come from a home where she was neglected - not abused, but just nothing was ever done for her. They hadn't bothered to fix her and she got pregnant because they had other dogs in the home and they just dumped her at the pound. Just neglect. The SPCA vet removed half of her teeth and cleaned them and said that we should be really careful with her dental. So I've had our vet following her. When we brought her home, I decided to give her a dental treat after each meal. We tried various things and settled on these. I don't know if it helps her, but the vet's happy with what her teeth look like - he cleaned last year, three years post-adoption. And she likes them and enjoys getting treated for eating! So she's gone from neglect girl to a well cared for - and a little spoiled – pup. :)

I like these, but they are hard to chew for my toy poodle

This product really works. My 10 year old and 20lb furry family member started taking it a week ago. Recently his breath started stinking really bad and I was worried. After giving this chew to him after breakfast every day, the breath stink has definitely reduced by 70-80%. I am going to continue with this product. Its small size and softness is great. I like the price so far. Hope it stays there! I am adding this with the green dental powder as well. But that powder I was mixing with his food for months. This chew I added recently and the difference is noticeable.

I have 2 dogs. The one who doesn’t need breath refreshed loves them. The one whose breath is bad won’t touch them so it all depends on your dog. They are cute little hearts and very hard.

I will give a 5* review, but my 2 year old dog could hardly bite these as they’re hard as a brick, I was scared to give them to him due to chocking hazzard, I just threw them out, I would not risk giving them to my fur baby, he kept spitting them out even in small bites. Won’t purchase again

These are not soft. I bought these for my senior dog since he’s been having trouble with hard foods. When I pulled one out to give to him, it was solid hard. They are not soft chews as advertised on the bag. Maybe other dogs that are not seniors can definitely benefit from these.

Was looking for something to help with my Yorkie's bad breath. Decided to give these a try despite a few reviews saying their small breed dogs couldn't chew them. They are a little harder for him to chew than his normal treats but he loves the challenge and has no problem chewing them. I notice a difference in his breath if I skip a day or 2. Would definitely recommend and will be purchasing again!
